Nikon F2 - Use after storage

Putting aside the posturing, this discussion boils down to a disagreement about whether a swollen battery could damage the plastic chamber enough so that it could affect the shutter curtain ribbon, or not. That should be simple enough to ascertain. That's the issue, right?

Quite but it boils down to one person says the plastic falls apart into original piece parts and another says a residue was small enough to do damage.

And an innocent repair party gets called a liar.

If I felt insulted I still have the ELeitz bill of sale for the repair to scan but it is more fun teasing.
