The core of BTZS is the app or the very early wounder wheel. I have not used BTZS as when I'm in a zonal frame of mind it is all about visualization. For those who want a very precise system of exposure and not include to visualize or ore-visualize I can see the advantage of BTZS. My only gripe is the name, it is not beyond the Zone System, just an alternative.

I maintain that what you do about following (or not following) box speed is different for B&W neg vs. color neg vs. color transparency shooting.

In almost all discussions, I am referring to black and white negative film
