Lot of under 25 dollar srts on ebay.

KEH right now have a 101 and 102, both rated Excellent at $123 and $189 respectively.

I love my SRT-201 and yesterday it worked very well for shooting our granddaughter's soccer game.

Moderator hat on.
Tone it down!

Dug my old SRT101 out the other day, bought it new back in '72. Cocked the shutter and tried to fire it. No dice. Can't get the button to push down. Pushed the button on the bottom that opens the back when the film rewind knob is pulled up. Now the bottom button won't pop back out. Does this sound like a big repair bill and is the old camera worth fixing? Thanks

My first Minolta SR7 was my first Minolta and it was set aside for my Minolta SRT 101, the Minolta SRT ...

Also had two X370's that both had shutter failures within a few years of purchase. Not a fan of x series Minoltas.

A lot of times those Minolta X-300/X-370 cameras just need a capacitor replaced under the bottom plate. It's a relative easy fix if you have a soldering gun. And here's a good test to see if it's the capacitor that needs replaced or if it's something else. Put fresh batteries in the camera, set the self timer and push the shutter button. If the self timer light flashes for 10 seconds but then the shutter doesn't fire, that means a bad capacitor.

I've fixed a dozen of them or more in my collection. Here's the capacitor that needs replaced. Pictured is a clone of the Minolta X-300, called a Carena DF-300:
