Hi there,

I know that the Leica M5 camera is not compatible with some WA lenses. Do anyone successfully use a Skopar 4/21mm lens with a M5 camera? Is it possible to mount it without issue and is the meter reading OK?

Thanks!

Of course. The rear element is not protruding far enough

There are two versions of the Voigtlander 4/21. Do you mean the older LTM version or the newer M-Mount version?

Older version with LTM/M adapter.

I have both versions of the lens. The earlier ltm lens will most likely not work, the later ltm lens with adapter will work. Difference only slightly noticeable when placed side by side. At dourballistar advised, call Steve Gandy at CameraQuest for definite info about serial numbers, etc.

At what lens depth does it interfere with the light meter? (Front surface of lens mount to meter sensor.) I have a newer M-mount 21mm f/4 Skopar, and the rear element protrudes approximately 13.5mm into the camera at infinity. I assume that the LTM version with an M-mount adapter would be the same.
