I have had a M3 CLA'ed and a M4 CLA'ed and new curtains by Youxin Ye. He has also worked on a collapsible Summicron 50mm f2 (aperture was very stiff). He is presently working on a 111f (CLA) His prices are reasonable $180 for CLA and additional $180.00 for replacing both curtains. His turn around is quick but you have to ask for it.( a week or two at no additional cost)
I have been reluctant to have my M5 worked on (The camera works fine but the meter failed just after purchase in 1974) . After some good advice from members here I will send it to DAG and hopefully have the meter problem resolved.
After getting my collection of Leica all CLA'ed (all within the last year or so) and as I have retired from the photo business I think it is time to put my collection on the market. A couple of Auction houses have expressed interest in selling the collection as a whole but before I take that step if anyone at Photrio is interested I can send them a list of my inventory for their review. PM me if you are interested.

Hi David. Apparently as a "long time lurker" I can't PM you (new rules). Do you have a list of your inventory online available? Also, you may be able to PM me - I'd be happy to see your inventory that way if that's easier.

Apologies to all for sidetracking the conversation!

DAG for service. Several years ago I bought a couple of used Leica Ms. I called Don and explained what I wanted. He called me back after he received the first M to let me know he had received and inspected it. Just a standard CLA was what he recommended. I went with it, received it back and sent the second one. Again Don called me and told me he had done an inspection and just a CLA was his recommendation. Both cameras are performing like new from the box.

Youxin is great for basic CLA services, and shutter work. He’s also cleaned up several lenses for me. Reasonable pricing and reasonable turnaround time.
DAG is for any electronic (the big D) cameras, which Youxin won’t touch. Also, DAG for lens issues requiring collimating, as he has the equipment to do it. And any “special” modifications. He’s so busy, however, so be prepared to wait a long time.
Sherry is a great person (and boy can she talk - if you call, be prepared to spend a little time in the phone!). Does good work, but her quality control is sometimes not the best. But if you have a M5, she’s the best.

She messed up my M5. DAG had to fix it.
