At Grant Haist's home, while helping out after his passing, we found several boxes of 11x14 Kodachrome and Ektachrome. Of course, it went to the estate, but I'm hoping that they turn it over to GEM.

PE
Kodachrome had been produced in sheet up to 11x14 till 1952, but it wasn't Kodachrome 25. Some boxes from my collection(daylight has ASA 8, artifctial ASA 10):

Some discussion on forum with images ,which can show how it looks like in 8x10:

Ok I understand : The high speed Kodachromes with outstanding 25 ASA came later (after 1952 ).
That all was a little before I bought my first Kodachromes at about 1980  !
Thanks for that information.

with regards

PS : To me Kodachrome 64 wasn,t the real think - absolute smallest grain was exclusive with ISO 25
I guess the early ISO 8 /10 emulsion was also the champion in smallest grain to that time.

I'd paied 79,- bucks for E100G (20 pack )
But that's all nothing in regard of the long term storage conditions of many many Astia100F.
They have outstanding performance. A color casts seams to be impossible with Astia - you just may notice little pale colors (after more than 12 years - nothing to be noticable before that)
but Astia has got a pale characteristics from intended color LOOK from the beginning.

Worst colour cast I've ever had was from Astia.

You're right that looks very strange. It is 4times more from color casts than my worst E100 SW from 2002.
But I also remember such cast with 2000 Astia 100 ( not the f's)wich got hot Temperaturen in summer.

Oh, I think this actually is exactly that. Astia 100 from ~2001. of questionable storage. I have had Astia 100F go quite green though. Didn't even bother scanning that roll.

Those shots look like cross precessed E6 in C41!

I know! Definitely wasn't though as a very reputable lab in Japan developed it. I bought a 20 roll box of the stuff. 19 more rolls to go :pinch:

Interesting, when they took it live in their webshop it was €13.99. Already reduced by ¢50! Provia is €14.99 and one Euro cheaper when you buy ten. Provia almost caught up with Velvia now.

B&H has it available for preorder at $12.99. I suspect that is going to be the cheapest we will see it. With processing, it is going to run around $20-$25/roll.

I'm gettin' tired of holding my breath! Anyone know for sure when it's REALLY gonna be available? Not as in pre-order or stock alert, but when you can actually walk in and buy it?
You came too late - it was avaible from beta test. You just had to contact Kodak to asked.
Now I would have a LOOK on EBay if I were you. The first Films you may get there. But I do not say there on EBay is the best pricing.

I just took a peek at Ebay. I can't see any that's REALLY in stock and REALLY ready to ship. There were a few marked "October delivery" and, of course, lotsa old stock.

I'm kinda hoping to pick up a few rolls when I'm in the city for Photo Plus in a few weeks, but for some reason I'm not feeling very confident about it.

Yeah - I meant on EBay may be the first offerings , not the Film is now avaible there. By the way I own a part of E100G from later batch. So a friend of mine. He compared with the same batch I had freezed to New Ektachrome he got from Kodak. The comparison is 100% identical. I can't say because I just shot my older E100G but I guess he is right. So I believe him untill I found out the opposite.
That means for you if you find E100G (the discontinued E100G) and you can't wait any longer buy that Film.If it is well stored in a freezer. It should be no difference.

Where?

As of this morning, B&H still shows it as pre-order. Rockbrook (local to me) does not even show it yet.

I bought in to Blue Moon Camera's pre-order deal a few weeks ago. I don't think they got a lot of the film in the first order from Kodak, and I suspect the pre-order sold out quickly, but you may want to inquire just the same.

Since I don't have any local film seller, I ordered online from thenfindlab.com. They just posted the following:

10.10.18 (***UPDATE*** We have received the first 600 rolls and they will all be shipped by end of business day. The next 1200 rolls will be received in the next couple of weeks. Once we have a solid date from Kodak we will update you here. Again, all pre-sale orders are $11 until we receive all 1800 rolls we have pre-ordered.)

Forgetting to state the folowing : If you just remember FERRANIA and the relaunch of P30 (yes I know it was more a relaunch from name - the today's P30 isn't 100% identical) it is quite clear that the avaibility of Ektachrome is during the next weeks only temporaryly!!!
So if you order Ektachrome make sure you have a first amounds of Films wich is indeed enough for you for a longer while. If you are able to find a retailers who can ship the amounds you need.
Because it may be that New Ektachrome will be sold out temporaryly next.
with regards

PS : If Ektachrome isn't sold out after some weeks of first demand it'll be not so got because Kodak did not produce Ektachrome in bigger scales up to now. And that would indicate (no problems to get Ektachrome at all) that demand slowes down. But I don't think so.
So we'll realize first problems of avaibility next for sure. And that possible will not be a problem of miscalculation/bad support/insufficient logistic/communications problems with retailers or what ever.
It'll be just Highest Demand on Ektachrome and that is on the other hand not bad - isn't it?
