Then let me rephrase that...What would make you guess that 400VC would go?

It seems to be the least known of all their Portra films, and seems to be the hardest to find stocked locally in all formats. Most people I have mentioned it to do not even know that it exists. I expect Portra 800 to go as well, before some others. Forgot to mention that.

damn 2f,
you know how to crash a party don't ya . I've really started to latch onto 400vc and portra 800 lately, since most of my shooting is available light portaiture/editorial-styled work. damn. I do hope they keep these in the lineup. but we'll see. I know a lot of pro's who still shoot film use the VC lines of film, mostly for the saturation, and less blue shadows than the NC line. I use 400nc in 4x5 all the time, just wish they had 400vc, but that probably will never come to pass. Just wish that I could get more deals like I've bee getting lately on the auction site, cause developing at school(PCC) sure has its benefits cost-savings wise !

Tom,

You forget the most fundamental fact in all matters; that people are idiots.

What is the "Velvia 50 II mentioned in B&Wpositive's post above??

What is the latest Elite Chrome 100 exp. and emulsion number you guys have? I have 09/2011 emulsion 0771. I forgot to save the last exp and emulsion I had. I bought this at Dwayne's Photo...

I just got some Elite Chrome 100 and 200 from B&H this week.
The 100 was dated 09-2011 and the 200 was 06-2011. The boxes also had the new kodak logo on them. So it's safe to say there is a current batch of each out there now. Buy up so they manke more.

I was just getting into EPP in 120! That is one of the reasons I got into 120!! What is going to happen to the Kodak E-6 films left when it comes time to coat some more? Are those going to go out the door too?

As much as you hate to hear it, you may have to go to Fuji...

EAS, I am pretty happy with E100G and E100VS but we will see how long this lasts.

More confirmation that the four basic particles in the universe are:

Protons
Neutrons
Electrons
Morons

:D It has been a while since I heard that one......it used to go around when I was in the Navy studying physics and reactor theory.

BTW, I was studying all that stuff in Goose Creek, SC. I lived in North Charleston, pretty much right at the end/beginning of the freeway, kind of behind the mall. Are you in the Charleston area? I do miss that place very badly sometimes.

Well, I am in the Charleston area, and NPS is here now, but I live out past James Island. I was in NPS *BEFORE* it moved to Orlando. You were clearly here after Orlando NPS closed. I was at NPS in Vallejo, CA.

Glad to know that in the intervening years they still teach the same lessons. And that particular lesson has turned out to be the most valuable one of the whole school.

There is another corollary, BTW, which states that the morons form the dark matter in the universe.
