I took a look at some of the rest of the catalog, particularly motion picture film. Super 8 all the way up to 1000 ft rolls of 65mm color negative to drop in your shopping cart. Impressive!

I'm ordering the magazine, I can't resist.

Well its letting me go to checkout but I don't intend to take it any further than that. $20? I don't think so...

They named it Kodachrome?! They're teasing us.
they said they were re-releasing it, they just didn't say it was a 'zine.

from what i have read ...
they are also making drinking cups out of old panalure paper..

to me it sounds like they are going to have an etsy store

Pioneer, let us know if it is worth it.
I'll try. It is on the way but am not sure exactly when it will arrive. For $8.95 shipping I would expect it to get here pretty quick.

I am looking forward to getting it, so I really do hope it arrives soon.

Even at the price, I ordered one. I received an email that it is back ordered, so, I guess they will reprint.
I do find it interesting that they named it Kodachrome. I like landvaag's thought that the second one could be named Kodachrome II. I don't know what they'll do about issues 3 through 24 though.

I guess calling it Ultramax wouldn't have sold many issues.
Whereas "Monitor" might be both appropriate and interesting.
Or "Retina".
Or "Kodabromide".
Or "Chevron".
Or "Verichrome".

For that much the ghost of Eastman should hand deliver it.

Well, if so the ghost of Eastman is pretty slow in his old age.

According to the tracking information the magazine was shipped with an outfit called "Mail on the Move." I think it should be renamed to "Mail Barely on the Move."

It departed Ramsey, Minnesota on June 2nd at 5:38 PM. It finally arrived in Menlo Park, Illinois on June 6 at 7:58 AM. Then it sat around in Menlo Park until it finally departed today, June 8, at 1:07 am.

When I checked their website (Mail on the Move) and investigated why you should ship with their service, there was no mention whatsoever of shipping speed. So...based on what I read on their website, and based on the tracking results so far, I really hope that Kodak Alaris didn't overpay for this service. Of course they could be paying for security, not speed. If so then they are probably getting more benefit for their money than the American taxpayer is getting with the Department of Homeland Security.

Anyway, political barbs aside, it has taken 5 and one half days to get from Minnesota to Illinois. Which, by the way, is in the wrong direction since I live in Nevada. So, at this rate, I will probably get it around this same time next month. :D

Good lord...I guess you could send them a map of the US with arrows to Nevada.

My film is stuck in El Paso. Really wanted to shoot something this weekend but c'est le vie.

Hopefully Eastman will get there before the cows come home.

I think the issue looks pretty good. Little pricey though. They should produce it out of their advertising budget and charge like $30 a year for six issues or something. Totally worth it then.

This may have been a feeler to see if there was any interest. But $30 per year is a bit of wishful thinking. LFI is more like $80 per year if I remember right.

I´m astounded to see that this is actually a new magazine. When I first read the title I thought you were reporting about some old magazines from the heydays of Kodachrome that you´ve found when clearing up your attic.
