It's delightfully pointless to argue about (home) - developing Kodachrome these days -
rules of propriety and politeness should be maintained here.

You are absolute right - thanks therefore.
Back to the topics now ?
"I have some doubts if any human being is able to fulfill such complicate task"
B E T T E R :D....???
And I should add : Without professional
K14 equipment and true chemistry.
At last - no doubts about female IQ's -
wonder about a little - AND smiling about that that should not be clear:cool:...

with regards

PS : A provotate statement - I well knowing
(the original statement with followings)
but Not REALY to criticise females (and males)
But indeed to critisize political overcorrectness of these days.

Since when was an APUG thread about Kodachrome the right place to pretend to criticise political overcorrectness ?

Take your misogyny elsewhere. Pretending to ridicule political correctness fools nobody.

#1 - Genius doesn't care if you have two X chromosomes or an X and a Y.
#2 - It doesn't take genius from either sex to do proper chemistry. Women are obviously just as capable as men when it doesn't require lifting something 100 pounds.
#3 - 'Til this thread I've given you credit for not being primarily an English speaker.
#4 - Your posts will now be reported to the mods. All you're doing is digging yourself deeper.

Another woman here, btw. And a chemist. (who doesn't give a cr@p about Kodachrome, but was interested enough to see what someone else was doing with chemistry)

And a lot more capable than men when it comes to producing and bringing up families, not to mention many of the caring professions. (A recent flight home from North Africa had two young lady pilots, and they seemed capable enough to us.! .)

Hey there !
....any ideas how to make couplers wich have no original design - more long live resistent ?
To come short into topics the sticky threat (look above) about stabilizers is a good basis.

First of all, please note that I had nothing to do with the processing. I just saw something cool on Reddit and wanted to share. Someone has possibly already posted about this, but here goes. I will not mention anything that I do not know, as I might mislead someone or give people wrong information.

This person (a woman I believe) has been doing this for quite some time now; several months or even more, but I just found out. She has used the Rockland polytoner product that is available at B&H and Freestyle photo, and regular c41 developer. She puts the polytoner couplers into separate CMY solutions and processes similarly to regular kodachrome.
Here is the link to her website.

Dead Link Removed

This is very interesting; if this has already been posted about I apologize, but this is really cool. The results have remarkable colors and the method used to process is fascinating. Several people have had the idea of using the Rockland polytoner, but this is the first time I have seen results. Maybe more people will try this? I definitely want to try this now.

Edit: I believe she has used a method similar to one posted last year on the Kodachromia wiki, originally I thought she made the post but it turns out it was another person.

I come to the beginning - the good old Kodachrome days (sorry to hear some has still more than 100 films refriged)
ended just with the day the last lab closed.
It was at the 20. dez. 2008 if I remeber correct.
But to have color experiments - it is like to have a mission impossible to reach in addition nice slides wich were just in the near than ordinare E6.
And by the way you mentioned it - wich better chems you might have extreme costs.
The best point I remember here was the short statement from Ian Grand :
Kodachrome25 (extreme fine grained I have to add) was just superb (from quality) - so what is to do know?
I can't say...?
Pe made competent advices in his treat about a method "K14" near - but if I understand his refers correct it should be a form of troubleshooting.
For example for people who desperately searching for a way to use stored Kodachromes. (and don't intent to waste it by having bw.)
with regards
