You mean the same Kodak CEO who is touring India promoting film to indian cinematographers and building brand new cinema labs around the world? The one who refused to sign up the destruction of the last Kodak film factory building on his first day in charge? The CEO of Kodak has specifically stated that film is NOT a core product of Kodak. WHY would film be part of ANY strategic decision?
We're wasting our time talking reality here, these Kodachromistas are as pigheaded as the conspiracy theorists - whom they greatly resembleI'm listening to experts, former Kodak experts, who say the idea is beyond stupid. Utterly stupid. Completely stupid.
It. Will. Never. Happen.

ummm wait, is this the deleated thread ?
at least he is thinking outside the box going ot bollywood i'd suggest he goes to the kingdom of saud too,Yeah. The same CEO who also is trying to scam people with Kodakcoins and Kodak Miners. He's a pretty desperate guy. Not hard to understand knowing how devastating 2019 is going to be for Kodak.
Kodachrome isnt even worth bringing back. It's completely superfluous.

The shoe fits, might as well lace it up.Do you always invoque conpiracy theorists to try to discredit anyone trying to argument against your communly accepted opinions? Luckily Copernic didn’t write on internet forums about his conspiracy-looking theory of the earth rotating around our sun, he would have had a hard time denying he doesn’t beleive in unicorns and mermaids.
Yes it is. It's a scam to boost a dying stock price.and regarding the kodacoin not everything is a scam.
Then why has the ENTIRE photography profession IGNORED this idea?the whole blockchain thing is perfect for people liscencing their images,
sounds to me like a good tool for IP people to grabahold of
it's good kodak is thinking of these things, and who knows maybe it will work,
maybe someone will buy the IDEA from them, who knows?
there are a lot of crypto currencies out there
and they seem to be doing OK.
Stating this doesn’t make it anywhere near true. The shoe fits, might as well lace it up.

maybe, but a lot of people who do hybrid work would rather scan a slide than flat art ...The digital market and the popularity of viewing images on the computer has taken a very heavy toll on the slide market. So much so, I wonder if the Ektachrome reintroduction will be able to survive.
What was believed as facts then was not what Copernic was saying, you would have classified him as a conspiracy theorist were you there back then following your own criterias.Copernic followed the facts. Conspiracy theorists ignore the facts. So do the Kodachromhadeen.
Why didn’t he just scan his negatives and invert?maybe, but a lot of people who do hybrid work would rather scan a slide than flat art ...
i know of one photrio member who used to expose b/w film and send it all to Dr5Chrome
to have black and white chromes made that he then scanned ..
So what is truly the reason everybody seems to think it would be so impossible to revive except that old feeling that what was once a commercial failure should be left dead for ever?

As for me, I’ve never denied a fact. Kodachrome was not selling enough to be profitable when it got ended. It was be rather difgicul and costly to revive it now. Weither it would sell or not now is not a fact, it is a conjecture and you have not anymore clue than I about it. That’s my whole point. No conspiracy theory needed here. Simple elementary logic, sorry.
he said it wasn't the same, found the link! + quote! Why didn’t he just scan his negatives and invert?

Yup. It was 16-2/3 rpm....the vaunted (at one time) 16 xx RPM. Anyone ever hear of that one?...
As many of the intervening 34 post demonstrate, it's also frequently ignored in favor of fantasy/unreality....Reality sucks, but it's real.

What do you do with slides?
I well know the difference between slides and negatives. And if you are scanning, you're going digital.Going directly from Tri-X to slides will have a much higher contrast than Tri-X to prints to scanning. One does not even need to follow the link if one understands the difference between slides and prints. Going digital is not a panacea of all that is good.
