I plan on using mine tomorrow as well - hopefully I've loaded it properly! (The first couple of times were okay, now I always seem to do something wrong).

Haven't tried that one yet myself either .... but this might help:


And: I must not forget to wind the film to frame #2, 5, 8 and 11 for each shot
(thus exposing three frames each time since it's a panorama camera:
four shots of three frames = 1-2-3 and 4-5-6 and 7-8-9 and 10-11-12).

No, just prop it on the sill and hand hold it. This is pinhole remember so sharpness not a real issue. I have several rolls over several trips with shots out the window, exposures were in the 2-4 minute range (f128). They aren't terribly exciting.

Must try to remember this...I have plenty of cameras and pins but I don't have a pinhole...I used to have one for my 8x10, maybe I can find it

Found my old never-used pinhole for my 8x10, but its 40 degrees, windy and rainy today. Guess I'll have to pick a window to shoot.

I got up this morning, put on the pin hole lens on the Nikon F100, grabbed the tripod and drive to Santa Monica. Took photographs of the Camera Obscura but the roll was barely started to the just shot photographs of the Pier and the coast to finish the roll.

I've shot 4 rolls of Fuji NPC 160 (exp. 2004) in my RealitySoSubtle (6x17) and 2 rolls of the same film in my converted Agfa Clack (6x6). Luckily there were some very bright moments between dark clouds and the hail storms today

I went to a local small stream and shot some pinholes in and around the water. I used my rubber boots to wade through the stream but sometimes it was a bit deeper than it seemed (yes: two wet socks) but it was worth it. I even made some vertical shots with the RealitySoSubtle. I hope some shots will come out fine.

WPPD submission site is playing up for me. Keeps asking me to re-enter last name and correct my email address. Anyway, I got back a day earlier than originally planned from the US and managed to run around a bit jet-lagged and take a few shots on the afternoon of 24th down here. Every year I say I'll be a bit more thoughtful and organised next year!
These were shot with an Olympus OM1 and body cap pinhole on TX400 film. 0.259mm diameter pinhole with a stated f185 aperture which makes a focal length of around 48mm or pretty close to "normal" for 35mm. This meant I could attach a standard 50mm zuiko lens to aim and then substitute the body cap.

Those are really cool. Did you do some post processing to get the exposure so even?

Well I suppose all my scns are pp'd to some extent, but no, this is just a "flat scan" tweaked only for contrast. It's a paper negative, it might take a bit of fuss in the darkrrom but it should print pretty much as it looks,
but if you mean is there any falloff/vignette on the negative, the answer is no, the "design" of the camera precludes that

Fuji 8x10 HR-T X-ray film, f250 @ 8 minutes in Ansco Universal 8x10, with #11 green and #8 yellow filter (why? why not) Rodinal 1:150 7 minutes in tray with only one or three glaring scratches (I put a blank fixed sheet under it and got a lot fewer scratches). Unadulterated straight scan, which I apparently didn't line up to the scanner's liking so one long edge is missing

Well, these are all 8x10 [laser cut pinhole helps a little], they just look sharp in the small online images...
real size contact prints are about what you'd expect...

I went out with M4-2 and pinhole cap on it yesterday. Developed Kentmere 400 yesterday as well, it is printable negatives, but I haven't printed, yet.
I'm going to try to make very contrasty prints on Agfa Premium RC 8x10 paper.

It was windy up here too, a little North of you; I did the same. Those look great!
The Northern part of Sonoma county is rolling hills covered with oaks. I made some digi-snaps while making the pinhole photos:



First 5 at Foothill regional park, then the last one late afternoon at Crane Creek regional park.
I had a bit of a scare this evening. I used a new camera for #4 and #6, and when I developed #6 first, there was not as much rise as I thought when I made the photo. The top of the tree was cut off and the shadow of the camera was in the photo. I've been hoping #4 would be the one for WPPD, and fortunately I gave it just a bit more rise and it is just okay. Before yesterday I'd only made one test exposure with that camera Still a couple more to develop, but I like #4 so far. I'll post results here later. A great day and a really nice hike.

Had MSA in mind for #1 or #4.

OK, have submitted an image to the WPPD site, and posted several in my PBase galleries. It was a weird day, as I had limited time, but did indeed get some images. Made some contact prints last night on Oriental Seagull M-2 (which appears to be semi-matte, #2 grade). According to my scribbling on the package it was purchased in 2006, which may account for some of what I found less than enthralling about the results. Guess I should stock up on some nice fresh 8x10 variable contrast RC before 2017!

Another random data point -- if you go to photograph the blast furnaces at the old Bethlehem Steel plant in that Pennsylvania town, it would be good to check the "SteelStacks.org" website for events, as I encountered a car show going on at 9:30 in the parking area next to the furnaces and the place was a total zoo -- took twenty five minutes to drive six or seven blocks to get to a different access point!

I also finished a started roll in my Yashica 124g, so I still give the day at least 4 stars ...

My submission to WPPD. I just made one negative because I had others through a lens and one unexposed sheet of film left. Fortunately it worked. (unretouched negative scan) I plan to do a pt/pd contact print when I get the chance. I was shooting toward the East early in the morning causing the burned out area. I will probably make two prints one as is and one masking out a little above the knot on the tree to hide the strong glare.

Hi Bert, nothing fancy at all, it couldn't have taken more than 5 minutes to make. A scrap piece of 3/4" pine wood, a 4-20 t-nut, and 4 cup hooks.
It's about 5x7 inches ( 13x18cm ) which has been a good size, and accommodates all my cameras. The little bungee cords can be strung end-to-end to be shorter or longer. Six of them ( 2 sets of three ) will hold my biggest box cameras.

Originally I drilled a hole a little smaller than the t-nut and pounded it in with a hammer. That worked fine for a couple years but got loose when I put bigger heavier cameras on it. Then I used epoxy it and it lasted for quite a while, but failed again. The wood is too soft. Now it is held in with "gorilla glue" and it has been solid ever since. This is a very handy platform that can be used for all sorts of cameras, and the cup hooks / bungee cords allow various options for holding a camera in place. Thanks to Joe VanCleave for this idea.. I use this all the time.
