My failure to visualize the background. I get so mesmerized by the image focus that I forgot how bright the out of focus background was.

Any SLR, I don't spend enough time looking at the image stopped down to the actual aperture.

I jumped right in trying to make a "fine print" on fiber paper. I made a good contact sheet, but after that I should have continued to work out the print on rc paper.
Got in a rush.

This is something shooting an enormous camera like 14x17, with 2 exposures per expedition forces you to do. Even then it's easy to miss something.

I need to shoot from a tripod that would help. At least help to slow me down.

It's a good thing that I have never ever had this problem ...

I think, at this point you would need a non discript white Chevy van with a sliding metal door. Whisk Analogue Andy off to a de-programming camp for 6 months of training. Maybe somewhere in Iowa.

This is true.
The nearest ICBC/Motor license office to here is in Richmond. They do driver tests there.
If you go there for an appointment, all the driving schools in Richmond have cars there with their nervous students, waiting for their test appointments.
A veritable sea of Teslas!
But if there was a school that offered B MWs, Mercedes', Aston Martins, for an additional fee .....

When I was a kid in the 50's Traverse City wasn't much, but now it's Yuppiesville with wineries, distilleries and breweries. High class area now, just like Harbor Springs. One of the prettier places to visit in Michigan. I'm going to try and talk my better half into visiting Victoria on Vancouver Island next summer. Sounds like my perfect getaway spot and we might just stay.

It's a visual! Just like in the movies, drugs are always bricks of white powder. Here the van is a mid 80's white Chevy van, sitting idling, copious amounts of stinky exhaust boiling out the exhaust pipe. As Andy approaches Tim Horton's on foot, the van flys up, door slides open two goons jump out throw him in and take off for Hasselblad deprogramming.

Probably too late now.

Ai search engines always seem to confuse Richmond, CA with Richmond, VA. The only thing the two cities seem to have in common is that both have a bad side of the tracks, as well as a worse side (rather than a "good side of the tracks" in the more familiar adage).
Our west coast version has what is called the Iron Triangle, a triangular border of RR tracks. I don't drive through there, but around it.

Secondly, 3 lenses is nowhere NEAR enough glass for that fine machine. You must immediately buy more lenses.

Thirdly, with all that money invested, you absolutely must have a backup body,

Finally, I have never seen a 'Blad finder that measures waste. Please do photograph it for our enjoyment.
