I just wasted 4 or 5 hours trying to make something work from Hasselblad negatives. That wouldn't have happened if I was using my 6x9 rangefinders.

How so?

I just watched your Ferric oxalate video. You may want a fume hood before attempting to make your own silver nitrate 😁

I’m really looking forward to your new series of Hasselblad videos on YouTube. Should be fun.

Probably should seal the deal with a dozen maple bacon doughnuts. Just don't get the camera sticky. 😁

Well, our meet up will most likely be at a Timmy's... 😆

Do I need a visa to visit Canada? Time was when all that was required was a driver's license. Just don't try bringing in cigarettes or leaving with too many fish.
Business or pleasure? Yes!

For a visit, a passport or in some cases, using some modes of travel, just a Nexus card is now required.

Last time I was out of the USA I was in England, London. The wife had a hotel walking distance to Buckingham palace. Good Queen Elizabeth II was still doing her job. That was 8 years ago, I need to renew my passport. Need to visit The Maritime Provinces. I could spend some serious time just chilling out.

My problem with visiting Canada is I probably wouldn't want to leave. I guess that really isn't a problem as far as Canada is concerned. The only thing Canada is missing, compared to the crazy place south of them, is a warm place to go in the winter time. Maybe when the U.S. invades and takes Greenland over, Canada can do the same and steal Florida???? Of course there is always Cuba.
Can't wait to hear from Andy on the good points and bad points of his new toy. I'm sure he'll ring it out pretty darn good.

I can't wait to hear if Andy ever stops talking about it (and everything else) and actually buys a "new toy". I started having my doubts about 34 pages and 868 posts ago. 😝

We consider the Lower Mainland/Vancouver Island, our warm place for Winter. This prairie boy has never seen tulips blossoming in February, until I made a visit to Victoria (and palm trees!)! But for warm beaches, we just hop on a plane, and we're in Mexico. I wonder what Americans do, living in colder states?

Hopefully there will be a development...either way...this week.

Andy,
Are you saying there are palm trees in Victoria? I figured it would be too cold for palm trees? Must be the warm sea currents?
Many of us Michiganders head to Florida, Arizona or Texas. Florida gets the biggest hit in the winter months, but I don't much care for Florida myself. I'd rather find an out-of-the-way town in southern New Mexico or Arizona to spend my winter retreat. I don't like commercial/touristy type places and prefer a more laidback rural setting. Of course with Global Warming Michigan might end up being the new Florida. I'm heading to see my sister who has lived in Florida since the 70's, but will only stay a week or two as that's all I can handle. That's just enough to breakup winter and make it more tolerable.

Hopefully! If it is in good condition you'll surely enjoy photographing with it. Beats endlessly banging away on a keyboard!

If I do get it (and it's in mint condition, by the way, and recently serviced), do you think the banging away on a keyboard will end?? It will only be the beginning, mate! 😆
