I have An Altos cutter that is limited to working with 16x20 sheets, and is reasonably compact. It ends up being a good, practical compromise for my uses. It works well. They are no longer made, but there are Logan mat cutters that are similar.
One from this line, and of the same size:

I have the Logan compact which looks similar to yours. I bought it at Freestyle about 40 years ago with both the straight and bevel heads. If I need to cut anything larger, I do the straight cuts on a Blick self-healing cutting mat (I bought a large one). For bevel cuts larger than the Logan can handle I go to the university and use the one in the art department. It’s one of the benefits of being an alumni.
