Emulsion magazine is just arrived in France today. Humm, maybe I must write it just arrived in Bourgogne !

Many thanks for all the peoples involved in the project. The magazine is very well printed. For now, I just have a look to the pictures. I will take my dictionnary and try to improve my english.

A warm regard to all of you.

Folks,

If you have not received your copy of Emulsion, please send your inquiries to Aggie, I helped her out with this first issue to ensure it got printed correctly and mailed everything I had the list for, but I don't have any further information and I know Aggie has been working very hard to get anything that was messed up straightened out and get the magazines out, but I have no further information, so sending me notes will not help, all inquiries and questions have to go to Aggie.

Thanks

Dave

Mike, I sent another issue off to you at the address you emailed me. If it hasn't gotten there I don't know what is up. I know Jon Shiu got his, and I mailed both of yours the same day. Please Mike email me another address. Maybe it was a typo. Besides we both have a vested interested in getting into sight of a certain Pleasant Hill insititution/department.

I have no idea if I've received it yet, but it wasn't there when I was home briefly last Thursday. Hope it's there on this Friday...

I just put a couple cases woth of magazines into the mail yesterday. Those that I got subscriptions for (not yours MikeK it went today) up until noon yesterday all went out. They should be arriving in the next day or two in the USA, and who knows in other parts of the world. I did send them all airmail so that should speed it up.

Also the gentleman who sent me a refund on the postage because he thought I spent to much on it, I'm not cashing your check. I appreciate the gesture, but This is my fault for not having enoug initially to do a bulk mailing service. Next time it will be fine. We definately have enough now.

Hurray!

Got my issue today (9/2/06) - may have come a bit earlier in the week but only pick up the mail in Copake on Saturdays.

Great job, Aggie et. al. You have to be very proud.

The magazine is beautifully done and the content is inspirational! :D

For those who have not followed us while trying to get the magazine out, yes we are quarterly. None of us are getting paid to do this. We also started this with no other funding than what some people donated which was small, and what money my hubby would allow me to put into it. There has been no big investor. There has been no big input from anyone even me. Yes I have dumped a lot into it, but it has been spread out a few hundred here and few hundred there over 2 years. When we have the funds that will not only pay others on the staff a bit for their time, that is when we will go bimonthly. None of us could spare more time right now to do this more than what we are doing it now. We all have other commitments in our real lives.

Yes I'm proud of the magazine, but I'm more proud of the fact of having a great crew working on this project, and that to all the nay sayers that said it couldn't be done, YES it could, and it is growing. It took a long time to get the people who would actually work on this instead of just saying yes, with no follow through. I can't blame them when it was an unpaid job. I know for my part, I will be tyhe last one to see any reimbursement from this. I would rather see my part put back into making it very secure for the future. As you can tell I put my money where my mouth is when it comes to analog photography. I believe in it.

Thanks so much... The magazine arrived at 10:15 this morning, brilliant. A good mix of text and photography, great simple design. It did however suffer a couple of minor dents in the post. Would a stiff mailer for foreign subscribers add a lot to the cost?

Thanks again,

Tom.

Just ordered mine with some other stuff from JandC, looking forward to it. But I agree, since I am overseas some sort of stiff envelope or something would be helpful. All to often mail comes from the U.S., and its nearly destroyed when it arrives. The thought of a $10 magazine looking like confetti is not really appealing.

Thanx!
