I am with you Adrian but I would stick with the warm tone for preference.

Now that I remember Forte PWT was quite responsive to different developers. I suspect that if I used Maxim Muir's Blue Black and some gold toner I could get a nice blue black. The other thing I liked about PTW was that it dried quite flat and was a piece of cake to flatten in a hot dry mount prress.

I would certainly purchase 11x14 and 16x20 and at least some in 42" wide rolls if available in the US.

I'm looking for some Forte Polywarmtone Plus PW-18 in 16x20 - or 11x14 at the very least. I've just joined this forum, so am unaware (following a quick search) if anyone has some sheets for sale. It's the only paper - after Kodak Ektalure G - that really takes photo oils. I've tried Kentmere Warmtone, but it doesn't have quite the surface 'tooth' to grab the color. Thanks for any info/advice.

I have made an updated announcement on the polywarmtone website and uploaded pictures of the kettle which is right now beeing installed in place.

I know this all takes long but we have only limited resources and they are currently tied up in the new APX 400 film.

So we are progressing where we can while preorders come in on a regular basis heading towards the goal.

Thanks everyone for your support !

Mirko

Fixed grade, matte surface etc. and can be discussed when we have Polywarmtone "standard" available again.
Before this point it does not really make sense for me to comment on this.

Way to go Mirko. I can now break open my last box of PWT with my terror lessened to a small degree

Are there any updates to how this project is going yet?

Did you guys not read the post right on the previous page where Mirko provided an update?

ADOX/Mirko: Great news and great work! How do we go about the process of pre-ordering?

It's been almost half a year now since that update sp it's not an "update" any more. More like old hat stuff.

You betcha'

Count me in for any fiber based warm tone VC papers. I particularly miss Agfa's 118 and 111. I'll be returning to my own cave in a few weeks time. I plan on a rather large (start-up) purchase of your papers. I printed professionally for over thirty years and undertook prefessional training in the 70's in Europe.

Look again. The update was in June 2010, so thats pretty encouraging that this is still moving forward however slowly. I placed an order for a box, which aint gonna save the day, but if the other 45,000 of you also buy a box this will happen.

Here is the Adox PWT blog, also updated in June. Stop in an register for a box, there is no obligation.

Guess I can at least dip into those last 80 sheets of Fortezo now...I'm plumb out of PWT but I'm looking at some prints that I made on it 4 years ago and they are amazing, and I am not a great printer.

Yes, I know the project is moving along. Context, man, context.

I missed this thread, I just registered. I have one box of PWT stored but have been printing Ilford MGWT FB for 5 or 6 years. Maybe I'll take it out of the freezer and play...EC

if you knew, then why did you say what you said? And what in the world do you mean by your second sentence??

I think more people need to get on the wagon here. Have you ever seen/used Polywarmtone? Its fabulous and I'm not even a warmtone guy. I want it back, so go make your pledge of a box or 10.

I don't remember exactly much I signed up for but I think it was two 8x10 boxes and one 11x14. Hopefully others are able to sign up for more - eventually we will get there. And if it's being lithable, well, even better!
