Amy:

My sincere condolences. I consider myself fortunate to have met and interacted with Ted as we shared a previous life working with energy and had a common passion for photography. I will always remember his warm smile and most importantly his contagious laugh. Ted was a class act that will be greatly missed.

If there is anything that WE can do for you please let us know.

I am shocked as well. I had not met met Ted but felt through his writing he would be a friend. This is a loss to the photographic community and a greater loss to you and his family. He will be remembered for his efforts and abilities to communicate with us.

I am shocked. I've conversed with Ted on scanners and he was the foremost expert on the topic. His knowledge will be greatly missed.

Dear Amy,
Ted was a kind man, generous with his knowledge, time and equipment. His enthusiasm for life and his passion for photography were so evident. Whether busy tending to details and photographing at a View Conference, responding to emails or organizing workshops in New Hampshire, he seemed to be able to find time to encourage a new photographer with whatever was needed-a few words of advice, a review of a portfolio, one on one time with equipment or an introduction to another member of the photographic community. Ted was always willing to give.

My sincere condolences to you and your family. Ted will be missed by the community.

I met Ted last year in Louisville and will think of him often. His commitment to and love of photography and the people who practice it was obvious to anyone who ever met him. My condolences.

We never met, but he provided a lot of friendly and good advice on this forum and LFinfo. Great guy, and the response is testament to his involvement with this community of photographers.

Like others we never met, but all the contact I had with Ted was always always good humoured and appreciated. I wish I'd had a chance to meet him in person and not just talk online.

Best wishes Amy and the rest of the family, Ted was a real gent.
