I received mine about 2 weeks ago. Looking forward to trying it. I'll start where Ferrania recommend and have some D76 to mix up when it's time. Normally I would use HC110.
I'm still waiting for my 5 rolls.... sigh.... I ordered around noon the day they took pre-orders. Wondering how early you guys got your order in?
Guys....nobody "ordered" anything. It was all pre-orders as explained very carefully and fully.
Really....really struggling to understand why so many people "don't get it"
I'm actually done with APUG over this.
Bye everyone. It was kind of nice and there are real experts here but this place is way too full of negative, entitled types and the powers that be do nothing to curtail their behaviour.

that second photo really "pops". Very distinct edges to both the children. Can't remember the proper term, attenuance? Very pleasing result!I've also used HC-110, Solution B, however, for 5 minutes with 2 inversions every 30 seconds.

Chris - Have you noticed any difference with fixing times for P30? I just did a clip test with my first roll using KodaFix @ 1+3 (relatively fresh), and it cleared in less than a minute. This seems to be about twice as fast as most other films.Developer was Pyrocat HD 15mins Semi stand 1:1:100 with pre-soak 70F scan on V850

Quitting over the semantics of "order" vs "pre-order"?
Good God.
As the op of this thread I feel somewhat responsible for Agulliver's exit from the forum. Going back to my original post however my point was I was concerned that my *pre-order* had not actually gone through and been recorded as their site had crashed shortly after I placed it. I don't feel this brands me as a "negative, entitled type". I feel this is a legitimate concern. The fact that four months have gone by and others have received their film has further strengthened my concern. That prompted my second post simply asking those who have received their film about what time of day they placed their orders. Again, I don't feel that I'm being "entitled and negative". Agulliver, you're entitled to your opinion but perhaps you should come back to apug after a cooling off period and re-read the original intent of this thread with fresh eyes.
Agreed!
Despite our best efforts, those three letters and dash before the word "order" have proven to be a very difficult obstacle to overcome. We have a number of quite angry people who feel that they are owed something even though they haven't actually paid for it.
We have an equal number of people who just go on Facebook or Twitter (or APUG) and moan very loudly they they don't have "their" film yet, even though that film is not technically "theirs" until a) we make it (perhaps the most critical point), and b) we charge their card for it (also important in terms of claiming ownership).
This is not to say that we do not feel an obligation to everyone who placed a pre-order. We most certainly do feel this obligation - quite acutely - and our primary focus is getting this film out the door and into people's hands as fast as possible.
We've tried to communicate the caveats we face all along the way. Many people have taken the time to read these posts and those folks remain patient and enormously encouraging.
But the majority just don't care about our esoteric and relatively unfathomable startup issues and are more than happy to vent their frustration publicly - a phenomenon that try as I might, I just cannot understand... Especially when the answers to their questions, or the solution to their frustrations, sits in their pocket alongside the very apps they use for their public venting...
Oh - and thanks so much to whoever started up this thread!!! I will try to drop in from time to time.

Thank YOU for the film
Can I tease those still being patient who haven't gone off in a huff?

I guess people are wondering if you are you actually making it? Since most people who "pre-ordered" it apparently haven't received it, I guess the answer is no. Do you have a firm time frame for when you expect to be able to fill the "pre-orders"?We have an equal number of people who just go on Facebook or Twitter (or APUG) and moan very loudly they they don't have "their" film yet, even though that film is not technically "theirs" until a) we make it (perhaps the most critical point), and b) we charge their card for it (also important in terms of claiming ownership).
that's a cool feature for a film camera. my fa doesn't do that.1/90th @f5.6 (Meta data from the F6 I'm not that obsessive)
That looks great to me, exactly the kind of look I prefer in a black and white film. Glad I ordered some. (Pre-ordered? I don't know. Something along those lines.)
Was this shot at 80 ASA? PMK is the closest thing I have, so I guess that would be different anyway, but am really appreciating your processing data. Thanks.

You can read the data on the F6 from the rear screen but with the Meta35 device, which replaces the hard to get long discontinued Nikon device, you can download the data and apply it to a scanned roll to embed the data as EXIF.
The F100 I have records the data but you can't see it until you download from the camera, some Canon models (on the dark side) supported and Nikon F6, F5, F100, N90s, N90, F90x, F90.

No connection just a paying customer who had to pay customs duty to import into the UK!!
Shame about the FA is a nice camera with that matrix metering on manual lenses.

That was my immediate impression when I first saw some scans from the film - I think this is the closest to a medium format "look" that I've seen from a 35mm film. It must be a combination of sharpness and tonality (rather than grain size as such) that creates this impression. Overall I find it very pleasing.almost a medium format look.
