This has been on Film Ferrania's Facebook page for a couple of weeks....it's a small production run which they are distributing via selected Italian shops only. It is not intended for consumption outside of Italy at this time. This has also been discussed in "industry news" here.

It'll be nice once it's readily available. I really liked that film.
I shot two Alpha rolls and while I felt it was better at 50ASA than 80ASA, I certainly liked it. I am really hopeful that it arrives in 120 before too long as I think it would be gorgeous in medium format.
What do you like about this film - grain, sharpness, exposure/development control?
I will try it once it becomes available. I used to be a regular user of Panatomic-X.
The question is directed at anyone who has tried it.
I'm also a fan of Panatomic-X. For me it's the grain and sharpness of this film, maybe not exactly the same as Panatomic-X but I think it is similar. These were both shot on the Alpha version and developed in beer. If it develops well in beer that's a plus for me.

I can't compare to Panatomic-X as I never used it...but what I liked a bout P30 is the grain...or lack of it....you could make seriously big enlargements with this....in 120 it's going to be a game changer. Sharpness is very good too, which lends itself to quite high contrast images. Thus it complements the other low/medium speed B&W films that I tend to use.

What EI did you use, Bryan?
I shot it at EI 25.

I found a comparison between P30 and P30 alpha (in italian), it seems the finished product was tweaked and should be more robust. I liked P30 a lot, but I had experienced great differences batch-to-batch, I hope all this is solved now.

I find the blacks are very deep and rich. The grain is almost non-existent. There's an almost fluid like look to the photos. I've shot it at box speed and gotten perfect exposure but I've also seen photos that look very underexposed, or overly black. It developed well in my xray chemicals but not as well using a monobath. I never tried their suggested chemistry.
Development in TMAX 1:6 @ 24C was my best results during the testing and validation for the recommendations chart.

Great photos! And I really like the character of this film. I am going to have to give a try if I can get it in the states.
Any mention of what sizes they'll offer this film in? Anything in LF?
I just ordered some. It is 35mm only (that I saw). It is expensive, especially when you factor in shipping. But seeing some of the results in this thread, I had to order some in the hopes of helping Ferrania keep producing.

I ordered 5 rolls... it's in US$ so a tad on the expensive side + $18 US shipping. Looking forward to trying it out. If I like it, I'll wait for 120 and hopefully one day, sheet film.
Yes - 120 for me if it comes around.
At the moment they are not shipping to me in Sunny Australia !!!!, I could use a mail forwarding company but that would cost .....I would end up paying more for shipping than film.....looks like I have to wait
