My posts are 100% free of ANY vitriol. I simply state facts and opinions based off said facts. Certainly nothing I write is forced down people's throats. That's ludicrous. Your posts conversely, are 100% stuffed to the gills with relentless vitriol.

I will concur with the above statement.Comments made by Rattymouse are anything but vitriolic.

I will not comment further except to say if you find something a bit touchy, don't read it. Or hit the ignore button.

You were a lot wiser than I was then. In fact, only now am I realizing that if I want to see the image as I intended it, I cannot rely on a lab -- that is unless I want to pay for telling them how each print should look in terms of shadow detail, contrast, where to crop, etc.

I didn't understand people who used transparency film because I thought projecting images on a textured apartment wall or a beaded screen ruined the resolution of the image.

Now I'm interested in using Ektachrome, having the resultant image totally under my control regarding shadow, light, and image area. I'm still not planning on projection, I'm thinking of a small viewer of some sort.

I always project my slides and I still have 3 perfectly working projectors. I never used the beaded screen. I just use a sheet of thin white cardboard paper tacked to the wall. I do have problem having the entire slide in sharp focus because it curves slightly. The curved field lens really doesn't fix the problem though. I managed a 1 hr. lab in the early 80's so I could make my own prints my own way although it was not possible to do dodging or burning in like in a regular darkroom. When I have my prints made by another lab I often had to have them do it twice. First I look at the negs and the prints then I tell them to do the reprints with instructions on exactly which buttons to push on the Noritsu printer.

One more thing you elect not to see.
Please improve your reading comprehension... Use your dictionary if you are still confused about words.
Ad hominem attacks demean only the attacker.
...I did not say I did not want to see it, I said I CANNOT see it...
Has your vitriol resulted in being banned from the Soap Box? If not, the only reason you cannot see it is because you've elected not to join that social group.

Kodak putting a new product out has made people mad.Go figure.
I do not sense anyone being mad about Kodak re-releasing Ektachome. Some skepticism though, given Kodak's failure to meet timetables with respect to both the film and the Super8 camera it is to support.

... so have you seen or used the new film yet? No trying to give “attitude “ but sincerely curious.

Anyone?

(I’ll consider posting the same question in a separate thread about the new high-speed B&W film too.)

I've seen P3200 on the shelves. I've not bought any.

Thank you very much. And thanks also to the people who sent PM's in support. I am a very proud participant of this forum and freely express my opinion, (and state facts that can always be questioned by rational people) without the intense nastiness and vitriol that is directed towards me by several people who simply cannot countenance the idea that not everyone may agree with them on every topic.

I have not seen it so have not used P3200. I see no reason to switch from Delta 3200 to this new film. I have always be satisfied with Delta 3200 and have used it quite a lot, developed in DD-X.

People all have different experiences. In the past I’ve been anxiously awaiting product, getting a seemingly positive narrative of progress... only to never see he product. In one case “stuff happened “ and the product failed to materialize for external reasons; in another case it was a very cleverly scripted scam.

I’m certain that Kodak isn’t scamming but you really can’t blame folks for wanting more information or “tangible/credible” evidence (wrong word but hopefully you know what I’m driving at). Trust but verify...

A good friend of mine who shoots a lot of Kodak product for pubs like Conde Nast Traveler, etc is using some right at this moment, showed the 10 pack on his Instagram account. That is all I need to see really.

Pretty incredible really that for a bunch of folks ( not you? ) who claim to like the slow process of using film that there is this level of impatience. And it will never matter what Kodak does from here on out, Kodak bashing, arm chair quarter backing and Photrio go hand in hand like matches in the hand of a toddler.

P3200 is available and I've been using it happily.

I also see a different type of person using film in real life, very grateful and postiive people younger than 40 I will add.

I come here for the resources, the attitudes are truly depressing.

Absolutely agree. The mentalité that infects parts of this forum is a major problem. And that's about as politely as I can put it.

A response technique worthy of Roy Cohn and his currently well-known protege. When accused of something one is guilty of, deny, then accuse one's accuser(s) of the same thing. Insistent projection. Sad.

It's really now a question of who's going to play the role of Joseph N. Welch.

Perhaps the people of a Photrio are just more intense analytical thinkers than those of other forums. That, for me, is a very positive attribute. It’s amazing how intolerant some folks are of opinions they don’t share and make it very personal. That, for me, is a very negative attribute that amounts to nothing more than bullying and a gang mentality. I thought I saw the last of that when I transitioned from Jr High into Senior High but I guess not! It may not be a matter of impatience but more a matter of seeking sufficient information beyond the cute marketing blurbs to understand both the process and where Kodak really is in that process. Perhaps it’s also a matter of missed “deadlines”... as a project manager that’s a red flag for me and makes me wonder (not worry, fret, or criticize) about the real status. Honestly... they can take as long as they want with a niche product for a niche user community. If push came to shove I’d rather see them ignore us and focus on s commercial base that will boost their corporate viability so the products I find more useful (Portra) is not risked.

I would have liked to see the expiration data of the E100 shown in the earlier post.

One Must JOIN the soap box group to see a thread there. sound like a lot of work...
Wow, what an incredible effort. Ask Sean to let you join. Onerous.
...a group that is non fact facused.
Since you're not a Soap Box member, on what do you base that conclusion? My experience in the Soap Box is that there is no lower percentage of facts among posts there than in any other area of PHOTRIO. Permissible topics is the only difference I've detected.

You elect not to see because you are not a subscriber and you do not select that option.
