I forget who mentioned it first....but someone suggested that a thin negative image forms first, then everything else gets toned around it...so the image looks positive...what happened last night seems to fit that theory
I want to see if I can bleach/fix any developed silver out of a processed image and see if I can notice a change
I read something like that too. That if you keep on developing film that you will end up with a positive image. But I don't know if this is true or that I just made something up. Or that I read 't grasp to it's core or something.
Is there a brand name for sodium carbonate in the laundry section of WalMart or something? I'm 99% sure that there are some laundry soaps that are sodium carbonate, but not sure which ones, and I really want to try this shallot soup! It sounds too easy to be true.
Cheers,
Richard
Thanks for the info! It'll probably be a couple of weeks before I will try out but I will give it a go. I do have some direct positive paper from Ilford so it might be worth the experiment. Thanks!
I found the Arm & Hammer stuff today at WalMart. I have a red onion and some green &black chai tea, so I'm going to give this a shot. I'm just waiting for my film to come.
No not yet. This week my mind wasn't with photography. Some bastard stole my car and been busy with getting it back from belgium where it was found, insurances etc. Maybe I will give it a go next week or so.
Thanks. I will be carless for this summer. Maybe I will borrow my brothers motorcycle for a couple of months so I can get around. And save up for a new one.
