D-76 Stock times for Tri-X (400TX)

And do you not think they should have perhaps excised the developing times for the discontinued versions from the D76 packaging by 2014? Or at least noted that it referred to an older version of the film? Then perhaps Sino would not have screwed up with the developing times in the current data sheet.

As far as I can tell, some of the discrepancies extend back into the times before Kodak Alaris existed - they originated with Eastman Kodak.
And as for Sino Promise, they got (and paid for) the business at just about exactly the same time that their entire business was essentially shut down by a worldwide pandemic. And when they took on the black and white photo-chemical business, it was still in the midst of dealing all the continuing disruptions that had resulted from the first Tetenal bankruptcy, and the corresponding near disastrous attempts by Kodak Alaris to move to US production sources for most products. So I have low expectations of them on the documentation side when it comes to D-76 and a few other legacy products.
If they should get back on their feet in this part of their business - doubtful at best - I will have much higher - normal! - expectations.

Well, if the instructions on the packages are understood to be referring to older versions of the same product, with their inane rearranged names and so on, there are not any discrepancies on any of the things we've looked at except between what's listed on the current D76 data sheet and what should be listed on the current D76 data sheet.

And those discrepancies started out on the Eastman Kodak generated datasheets for D-76 - although the 2002 D-76 datasheet got it right, because it listed both types of T-Max 100 and T-Max 400 and all four types of Tri-X. The current D-76 datasheet, which mirrors the last version of Eastman Kodak D-76 datasheet, mixes up times between the old film versions with new film versions.

..found this thread after being confused in regards to what times to use with the D-76 I just mixed (using the developer for the first time) - it sure is a bit chaotic

So as an update / for the sake of completeness, here's pictures of the current (made in the USA, by Photo Systems Inc.) packaging.

It sure feels weird that they don't even bother to do an updated data sheet but instead just point you towards the Massive Dev Chart on their own product page
