Omer is a true dedicated and committed professional. Anyone who doesn’t like him or his products are welcome to not do business with him. It’s as easy as that.
I'm a bit surprised that the people out there who toll coat film runs for entities like CatLabs haven't done and shared with their customer (CatLabs) spectral response tests that could satisfy the requests in this thread.
Perhaps that information is embedded in other information that CatLabs doesn't feel able to share.
I appreciate the fact that CatLabs has taken the risk to bring another film to market. I'm surprised that CatLabs has responded to the requests the way they/he have/has. A simple "we don't have the resources to be able to do that" would have sufficed.

Do I take it that Omer is the head of Catlabs? Thanks

Okay. That is nice film. Is your current film better, or close to the same?
I don’t know who else may be involved in CatLabs. Omer knowledgeably responded to my email enquiry about a prior film product.
His credentials, frankly, seem to meet or exceed the credentials of

Having been a photo student for nearly a decade, then a photo teacher, i find that excellent advice, personally, hind sight vision - always 20/20This is bad advice.
Oh my. Kodak’s business practices over decades and a century netted them one of the most recognized and successful companies on the planet with over 100,000 employees. Yes, follow them! But also, lets see which companies business practices over decades landed them in receivership, multiple times. Should those really be models to follow?

I'm surprised Omer has exhibited the degree of restraint he showed when responding. Given how, in my opinion, essentially irrelevant PHOTRIO posters are in the film market today (and how highly they unjustifiably think of themselves and their importance), that any manufacturer takes the time to even read, much less respond to, the bitching and moaning that goes on here is amazing.
Keep on keepin' on, Omer.![]()
CatLABS X FILM 320 Pro film has nothing to do with XX.
Unfortunately its hard to use subjective quantitative terms to compare two different films. When i was a photo student oh so many years ago i asked older students what is the film i should buy as i was going to buy a 30m roll. They said that is a stupid thing to do if i want to learn which film does what and works how. They said: Buy a few of each type you have access to and see what you like. They also said that after doing this, comparing films to one another would be like having a smell comparison of different spray lubricants, undoubtedly one of the best and informative videos currently available on "the internet":
Coating is one thing. Formulating the emulsion chemistry is another. If it's interesting film try it.
Who knows, given Omer's short commute to Massachusetts Institute of Technology and dozens of former Polaroid employees, this could be the greatest film ever!
Not T-grain or Delta, but X! X as in SpaceX???
What is the pre-wash is pink, developer is purple and the final wash is blue? That would be really confusing.
I have enough film to last me a while, but I've done quite a bit of business with Catlabs over several years, always been satisfied.
The person who came up with ISO 25, maybe they can conjure up a Spectra!
Wait a second, isn't Spectra a Polaroid camera? Or a James Bond super-villian hmmn??

I never understood the revenge part....
