Trader history for Field (0)

I think we should start a thread for pictures from this film. There should be plenty to show with the amount of film Field has sold (something over 50,000 exposures I think).

Test shots and developer experiments would make a good thread subject too, but I'd love to see one with just pictures that the photographer is actually interested in.

Ok guys just to tease you a little more..

I used to shoot with 35mm Kodalith in college because I could go in the darkroom and toss it in the tray of paper developer under the safe light. I was a huge fan of ridiculous amounts of contrast in my images but mostly, I was just a lazy college student.

Can't wait to get my film.

Ohhhh, if they post tomorrow, Saturday could be Cinerex day 1! We should have a prize for the first person (save for Field) to post a scan of a print wins the challenge?

That would very fun!

Sorry guys but it is raining like crazy, and I can't fit all of them in my bag so I have to carry several in a non-waterproof bag. It is looking like tomorrow morning.

No worries.

Anybody got any developer/time suggestions for this film?

I have been thinking that too....now Field said the below:

These are 50asa, at 7.5 minutes Tmax 1:4 70*, all Yellow fitlered. I think 7 minutes might be slightly better, or a lower contrast developer wouldn't hurt. The Gray's are really pulling in more than at 8 minutes. Next up is 25asa at around 6 minutes. Then 100asa at around 9 minutes. (I have one that has the most perfect tonality of hair I've seen but the rest is shut blown out white, and it was at 8 minutes).

He thinks to shave 30 seconds off the 7.5 mins mentioned above would be a great spot to be. I think I am going to use his times, but back in those factors to my dev (Xtol, which I use typically 1:1). So using Field's theory that 1:4 Tmax at 7 mins is a good basis, I check the Massive Dev chart and see that when something (typically) runs at 7 mins at Tmax 1:4, it runs at 10.5 mins in Xtol 1:1. So that is my plan, to back into a starting point and go from there. Thoughts?

Can anyone figure me a time for ID-11 at 1+1??

Well if you believe my theory above, then the starting point for ID-11 1+1, wd be 11 mins....

Check out Delta 100 Pro for TMax at 1:4, it says 7mins, when done in ID-11 1+1 it is 11 mins.

Yes and no, part of it is using a filter, another is certain areas with this film will always be dark because it is orthochromatic. If you look at my pictures you'll notice some seem dark in the distance, and others don't.

When are you going to process a roll @25? Can't wait to see that!

Processing 25asa next week. I got a lot of home work at the moment.

All film has been shipped.

I still have more film, and it doesn't look like anyone wants to trade. Let me know, who ever wants more.

fajaryayat, I replied.

There are still some more rolls. Perhaps after the gallery gets started I'll see more requests!
