I guess that must be their US partner attempting to build a Shopify site...? I'll stick with https://www.ferrania.com/ for information.

Just tried that (www.ferrania.com).....comes up as unsafe, i.e."Attackers might be trying to steal your information from www.ferrania.com (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards)".

( I contributed to the Kickstarter way back in 2014, and this is as far as they have got after nine years ! Why did I bother with these amateurs, whilever we have Kodak, Fuji and Ilford quality products still available ? )

No... not quite. So far they have P30, and now Orto 80. The website works fine for me although the links on the main page don't... I don't get any messages about attackers trying to steal my information, though... Your contribution back in 2014 helped save a lot of equipment from the scrap heap. 🙂

Does anybody know............... how have they kept the doors open.?
Are they profitable, or are they being held up (financially) by other means.?

I get the same message and it is because the certificate used is only valid for domainmarket.com and .domainmarket.com.

Putting 'www.ferrania.com' into my browser takes me to a donainmarket.com page which advertises the ferrania.com domain for sale at USD 294,888 payable over 24 months at USD 12,287 per month or a one off payment with 25% discount of USD 221,166.

I wonder if they are getting government grants...

It's a Shopify platform they are using, which means it should be simple to fix these problems. It doesn't create a good impression that they don't check their own site.
I suspect that they are in the middle of a total rebuild. I did log in and found my previous orders, so it is a revamp of the site they were using before. I expect that they will let us know when they consider it ready.

the item I was trying to flag are the videos showing some production machinery.

entry page - Guy pushing a cart down a red-light tunnel. followed by Drone footage of their building and some P30 cassettes dropping into a box.

under "explore- about" some stills of P30 in Cassettes.

Under "explore-orto" some machinery picking up flat cassette blanks and so orto Cassettes moving on a production line. As well as film on an accumulator.

rest is currently dead ends. BUT the pages I mentioned are NEW. I am sure that once they finish building that all will connect.

I have heard from someone who was working with Fierria to try and sell their film on their store, that they have laid off their NA distribution team. When this person tried to contact them directly, they were not responsive to communication. I think there may be more to this than just a surface level reorganization. I do hope that they aren’t laying folks off in a last ditch effort to stay in business.

Appears to be working. I’ll wait until they issue kickstarter backer credits before I get any though. I feel like they should adjust my $25 for 9 years of inflation plus interest, but I don’t expect that

Yes! I want some!

Well check out Blue Moon Camera (photrio sponsor). They have it in stock--$14.99 a roll. Not sure if they can ship to Canada but worth checking. I confirmed that this is not a fluke, and they really have 222 rolls in stock (after my 10 were purchased.)

(they also have Orto 35mm in stock as well.)

Thanks! Sadly, they do not ship to Canada. No problem. I'll wait... Great seeing it in 120!

Its funny, I'm sure in a month everyone will have it, but for some reason Blue Moon got it before even the Ferrania store.

What's really funny/amazing is that Blue Moon has some, and B&H doesn't. I contacted their customer service and they told me Ferrania hasn't released it yet. I asked them well how did Blue Moon get some? No reply...

Bluemoon was probably more willing to give Ferrania a few more extra clams ($$) to get "first dibs"/be first in line to get whatever film they make sent to their store sooner & to say "We got the film first!"

The story I got from Zeb says:

It has been a weird little route to us acquiring this film but the long story shortened is that we had been bugging Ferrania for some time about 120 availability and getting nowhere, then they announced the closing of their North American offices so we reached out to them in Italy to see what was up with the future of their film and they offered to sell film directly to us from Italy. At the time we just wanted to get the Orto in stock but they offered to let us order some 120 P30 as well which we jumped on.
