Yes.. imagine it's finished already.... they are with the developers and we may even have some photo's soon...

I trust you didn't send them to Tennessee for processing... ?

Guess who's back....

a plastic folder to protect the instructions and mailing list, some sticky tape to repair the envelope - November 10th 2010 - (courtesy of Shawn I think??),

You are right - I kept the cameras for so long it's the LEAST I could do!

This is such great news. Can't wait to see the results. Thanks again, Sile, for leading the way with this.

Tim.. I think you may have a point.. however it may be a better idea to call it perhaps..... Camera 8? But use the actual physical lucky camera 6....

That's gotta bode well.. right?

Wallbergb.. keep an eye on this thread (or a new one started called camera 8) and you are most welcome to join in.

More than you realize. That was Camera 5 also.

That camera has a lot of stories to tell.... I can't believe it was 5, 6 and will potentially be 8...

Let's not talk about the se7ens....

Shawn it was a pleasure.. well mostly it was.. sometimes it was a right royal pain in the arse, but for the rest of the time.. it was a pleasure

Photo's will be done Monday.. I should hopefully have them up as soon as I get them back.. kinda can't wait to see them.. kinda terrified of what will show up

S xx

Maybe it should get it's own TV show? I heard OK and Hello are interested too..

TV and newspaper rights are in the bag

So.. I have the discs with the neg scans on them and have them all ready to upload.. But I'm only allowed to upload 5 images at a time which at that rate would take me almost a week to upload all the shots. So Tim and I are working on a way of getting them all up in one foul (or should that be fowl) swoop. So check back in tomorrow and hopefully we'll have news for you then. Watch his space...

The good news is that all the shots on the SureShot came out and I absolutely love the effect the Ektar gives the shots. Whether it's the film and or the length of time it was in the camera or or a mix of both or indeed he fact that it crossed many borders and flew many airlines... I absolutely love it.

The bad news is that only 20 came out of the B&W single use.. Not sure who we're missing but as soon as we can get them posted I'll be asking everyone to claim their own.

Well done and congrats again everyone for getting this baby home! :D

hallo

send me some photos per mail and i also can upload some.
(if you dont find an other way)
and some other boys and girls too.:D
so we will get them up very fast.

It's been a long, cold winter standing out there waiting by the mailbox... hoping someone would have forwarded from my old address. Not even a box from toro_mike with a "finally got it back!" camera...
*sigh*

Indeed. My winter was much the same. It's bizarre that both camera 7's went missing at the same time, never to return.

It is indeed bizarre and a little frightening... I sense a fiendish plot afoot..

Anyhoo.. that said here's the news on Camera 6 and it's contents.
Tim has the ability to upload more than the designated 5 photo's per person so what he suggested is that I email the photo's to him and he'll upload them to the group.

So he is now the proud possessor of all the shots from the B&W and the Colour films and he'll have them up as soon as he can.

Pcyco this is the quickest and easiest way to get all the shots up.. if I mailed them to everyone individually I'm not so sure I could trust the postal system any more!

So basically everyone... Watch this space.. again

And news of Camera 8 is imminent....

I think someone in the postal systems heard about our nudie shots and grabbed the cameras. Oh well, I can always do mine over. I'll wash the mirror this time.

camera 6 is here and the time is right for dancing in the streets!:D

Hi All,

There is a size limit on all pictures so I need to edit all down to 1 meg 850x850 max pixel size. Will get to it this evening.

Thanks for your patience. Some of the color work is truly spectacular, some of the B&W is amazing for a point and shoot cardboard box camera.

After I have posted all, I will send anyone who wants their original jpg via email. AFTER.

All,

All images are posted. Use keyword search 'Camera_6'.

Original, eh?

Congrats on a job well done. My image is the one with the single wire suspension bridge, the first one in northern california I thinks.

A cornerstone in new architectural design. I did not shoot a B&W image.

It would be nice if everyone went back to their photos and added comments. It helps others with location data and/or how it meets the theme.

Chris

I claimed mine. B&W and color were the same shot, more or less. I posted a pulled-back view of my subject in the color post.

Nice job, folks. Now everybody go to the Gallery, scroll down to the forums, and click on Traveling Camera Project. That be us.

Thank you Sile and Tim! Feeling almost weepy with love for these traveling projects.

I claimed mine and hope others will find theirs. Would like to know more about all these little corners of the world.

hallo

thankyou to all for their work etc

I know that a few of us here also shoot large format. What's the chance of getting together a group of 4x5 users to pass around a rollfilm holder? I've got a Calumet C2N (6x7) collecting dust. Just a thought... anyone interested?

Chris

All,

Ya know, we have 21 months into this project. 21 months of sacrificed pagan chickens and tofuburgers. 21 months of combined energy pushing this camera around the world.

Let's finish it. I want to see at a minimum, every one claim their photo and give a brief description of what made you take this photo. I would like dialog either here in this thread, or in the gallery under the photos of what you see in others work. A discussion of what you like and why, or what you (gasp) don't like or understand. The project is pushing a camera around the world, from one hand to another. But... the project is about what we share as artists, using the ultimate in primitive photo materials to show the breath of our vision, like in "The Deer Hunter"... One shot, that's all you get.

Please label your photos, describe the image you took and why, and browse all the other photos in the collection and relate. Or don't relate.

That's the spirit of "We All Shoot One Camera"
