I was playing around with toning cyanotypes when I realised that my Potassium ferricyanide solution had gone bad so I experimented around with just Ferric Ammonium Citrate and tannic acid solution I made by boiling leaves and tea in water. For my first test, I coated paper with FAC solution (1g/10ml water) dried it, exposed it then put it in a bath of the tannic acid. Unfortunately, no image formed. So, I exposed it again after dry and was amazed to find that an Image had formed with good sepia tones and you just develop in water (not too long).
I call this process the Tanintype.
I have yet to make a proper print but, I will try by mixing teh fac and tannic acid together then coating and I will make my tannic acid solution stronger.
