It's not so bad - IR sensitive films of today go only up to 750nm - very far from thermal, thus the temperature doesn't matter. Just keep it in the dark as with any other film.
Extra caution is only needed after that AH layer is removed - just load in darkness and spool that leader in too - it'll be great.

But yes - I'd rather respool my squeegee torture free film in 10 minutes instead of 2 hours.

Any film will fog easier when washed. You are essentially doing a light hypering and is washing out dry chemistry that aids keeping. IR sensitizers are always special. Film with those incorporated always keep less well than other film.

Haven't observed that - haven't kept them treated for a long time either - to remove and shoot is the deal. Will keep this in mind, though.

If you freeze and esp. deep freeze then you can slow down the extra fogging. But it will still be more than the unwashed film.

Be aware that alcohols can cause some plastics to spontaneously crack!

Which alcohols and plastic combinations are prone to this defect is something I do no know, so, be careful with your polymers and, please, post any instances of this happening that you're aware of.

Delta 400 @400 seems to be an interesting film. Did my first short roll of it, and well its quite nice inside. Evenly exposed just as nicely as the ones i took outside. And i verified with my sekonic 308 light meter to verify.

Even with a UV filter on, and shooting into very brightly lighted area it performed as if i had used a CPL with it.
