It appears to be done!

Today, I printed out what I hope will be the final version of THE BOOK! Version 8 sits here on the table ready for a final read.

If it passes muster, it goes to the printer this week (weather and health permitting  ) or at the latest next week.

So, there it is. Don't be too hasty or optimistic. Last reading uncovered about 10 pages of tiny spelling errors and two major errors which were corrected. Seems as if nothing nowdays is perfect.

So, you know what I will be reading today!

I'm not Michael. I've already found two figures with captions spread over different pages and some other odds and eds. I'm about 1/2 done with the edit and will do the changes in the master copy next.

Thanks.

I have set up mo mechanism for handling pre-orders. Sorry.

I have yet to firm up distribution and all I can say is that the first trial run will be Friday this week. I will have 2 copies then to check out for accuracy and formatting. Then the first run starts next week.

I have no pricing yet. The book is about 225 pages long and will be on 8.5 x 11" paper in ring binding with plastic covers. It is about 1.5" thick. There are over 100 graphs, charts and photographs many of which are in color. The B&W was kind of drab and was rejected as too much data was lost.

As I have mentioned, the book was edited by 5 of my associates so it should be accurate and up to date.

You might say that this book starts at the page in Bob Shanebrook's book on "How Kodak Makes Film", and centers in on two portions, the emulsion making and coating, and takes you through the doors with pictures and diagrams of the real details, and then it continues with formulas and lots of patent references.

All of this is supplemented by photographic comparisons of each emulsion with production emulsions and also with senstiometric curves.

I hope everyone enjoys it.

Now that it is done, IDK what to do!!!! :D

Maybe V2?

Ron, this is the perfect chance for you to start working on your color dye-destruction emulsion!

And PE, you are not in Kansas [anymore].

But Chris tells me that once a week, bananas are only $0.10 / lb there.

And me without my ruby red slippers. They are in for resoling right now.

haha, OMG, what have I missed..

I'll definitely help... heck, I'll even devote all my time to it! Of course, that will require nearly all the proceeds from your book to become my personal stipend.

And indeed, at Checker's on Tues & Thurs, bananas are 19¢/lb., (limit 10 pounds of course). 10¢.... what do you think this is.. paradise?

They gave me a discount because of the large spider in my bunch! :D

Do I pay for travel from Toronto?

PE

I foresee a lot of international travel being necessary, particularly to such exotic locales as Mozambique, Durango, Argentina, Antarctica, Japan, to name a few.

Ugh.. spiders.. no thanks! So that's why you dislikes nanners.. eh?? hahaha..

I have in my possession the first copy of the book run off at the printer. I am inspecting it this weekend for flaws and then intend to give them the first order this coming week. O happy day!

Anyhow, I've found 2 very tiny flaws that will be corrected and then off we go. I am still trying to arrange methods of distribution.

Do whatever you want but Just do not distribute with fedex or others. 50 dollar book costs 150 otherwise. I wanted to buy 5 dollars dunhill tobacco from chicago , they want 83 dollars shipment !!!!
2.2 pounds banana costs 1 dollar here imported from south america. I think half of the america and 2 million homeless jobless american soldiers eats 3 kilograms of banana each day hahaha , yes paradise !!!

Umut;

The book like the DVDs will be available in Europe for shipment from Europe. Just a small ride on the Orient Express!

Check it again. There is always one more mistake. I know from my experience publishing a book.
