While I don't like halation in color films, I actually quite liked the halation in Kentmere 200, based on the samples that I saw online. It's a particular look. I wouldn't go with it all the time, but I can totally see myself keeping a roll of K200 in the fridge explicitly for that purpose.

Then you owe it to yourself to try Foma Ortho 400, the Queen of halation - and a very interesting spectral response too.

Thanks for the tip!

I haven't tried any ortho films yet[*]. There are too many interesting films out there, and not enough time. I do like to try everything. I'll add Foma Ortho 400 to my wish list.



[*] Technically, I've used a lot of ortho-litho films to make large negatives for alt process.
