I thought so, yes. And the last Portra I bought, last fall, had reasonably far out expiration dates.
As I said above I'm tempted to go 100% Ilford for black and white. I'd like to support those who best support us, and their materials are superb and I could be quite happy using just Ilford for black and white but that doesn't help with color.
Agreed. It is time for film shooters to "put their money where there mouth is" and support Ilford. No company anywhere is doing more to keep film alive than Ilford. Every roll of b & w film shot on Kodak or Fuji is one less modicum of support for Ilford.
I LOVE Acros film, but once my supply runs out, I'm going to move towards Ilford. Once my supply of Tri-X is out, I am done with it. Fuji's support of film is moderate and Kodak's is nonexistent.
I had the same idea about QuickLoad finishing equipment, hoping for Delta 100 packets. Unfortunately, even if Fuji were willing to sell it to HARMAN (most unlikely), the cost of disassembly, transport to Mobberley and reassembly would be hundreds of thousands of dollars. Not economically viable given the small potential market size and limits on what users would be willing pay for the product....Fuji is discontinuing all their 220 rolls... if you can give them a low ball offer for their currently running equipment for that, now's the time...

I suspect similar circumstances prevail with respect to Fuji's 220 finishing equipment.
The best thing you can do to support Ilford is to actively support the entire industry. Buying and using and printing Kodak film helps Ilford and Fuji and Tetenal and Oriental and Moersch and ....

3 and 5 / 8ths film, It 'could' be possible, I think we would need something like 80 orders of 30m bulk lengths, just to cover the time to set and re-set the slitters it would need to be in a 'generic' box, not tubbed. I will have it checked out. It could only be one film HP5+ is my guess?

We publish all the information in April and then our ULF re-seller partners get all the information and confirmation of prices from our distributor and you then contact the ULF re-seller partner to place an order. We will make sure you do not get left behind or miss out !
Simon ILFORD photo / HARMAN technology Limited :
Dear All,
The management of HARMAN technology Limited have once again approved the annual ULF run of ILFORD Photo film products :
( .....)
We are happy to accept further size requests, although we are pretty sure we have most covered! If you make such a request please make sure you actually do order the product as in addition to the above we have 6 sets of ISO standard cutter guides ( that cost several hundreds of pounds each ) that have never been used as no actual orders were received.
We thank all of you who order during the ULF run and thank you for valuing ILFORD Photo products.

I will put it on the list

Simon thanks!
...So 70mm but not perf? You referenced waste, isn't the only waste the punched emulsion "chads" ? Isn't the film production part the same between perf and non-perf?
Thanks for any clarification on that.
And thanks for being an awesome company!

As a possible extension of the Harman special sheet film production scheme, is there any interest in something similar in FP4/HP5 in 70mm perforated?
Having run it past the planners at Harman, they are prepared to cut it as a special order for Silverprint. We would have to order a minimum of 60 cans of 30 metres, in either film type, and keeping it priced as competitively as possible it would sell at £80.00 + VAT per roll. This price is not significantly more than the equivalent sq. metres in 35mm 30 metres, so Harman are being supportive here. We would take a chance in holding some stock, but would like around 60-70% of it covered with committed orders to go ahead.
When we first discussed it, Simon Galley estimated it would need a £20-30k order to kick it off - this then came down to 120 cans, so 60 cans is a big concession from Harman. So is there enough of a user base in 70mm to keep a regular supply of the format on tap, in very popular emulsions? We await the response with interest.
