David,
I've heard these things too. I've been on the lookout for a basket(or 2) to use with the 3.5gal tanks, so when I shoot enough rolls to justify souping them all up at the same time, I can do so accordingly. Eventually, my personal goal is to run a small operation for custom printing and...
Pre-Heat, don't pre-soak. Run the loaded tank in the water jacket for 10-15 min to get it warmed up, and make sure your chems are tempered well, and stay at a stable temperature.
38deg C(100F) is what c-41(at least the Kodak and Fuji chems) are designed to be run at.

hey all,
Just wanted to take some time and give a little shout out to my new favorite pro-lab, SAMYS805. The funny name, if none of you know it, stands for 1. Samy's(as in the small chain of camera stores out here in so. California). 2. 805 is the area code for Santa Barbara, where they're...
50/50 split for me to be quite honest.
I don't own any older folding cameras, but I do own a holga, and that's really 120-only. But the last time I shot anything through that was 6 months ago.
for E-6 and c-41, I've really become fond of using 220. Since I got a great deal a few months back on...
just did the math for the Japanexposure prices...
$20k yen is like $220 :o!!!!!!
where do they get that kind of pricing? Here in LA 50sht boxes were selling for like $90-100?

Dryer is now $65 shipped in the USA
Exhaust fan is now $65 shipped in the USA

I'm jumpin on the astia bandwagon. Great for skintones, in sunlight, or with strobes. Got *just* enough warmth to keep skintones right. I'm leaning this way just cause even here in LA, most shops carry all the fuji stuff, but E100G(which is my go-to for E-6 in any size) is getting hard to find...
Guillo,
after pricing out shipping on the web, it only lists two options, both around 1.5x the cost of the camera itself :o!!!!
if you feel like paying it, it can go via USPS too, but be prepared to pay "through the nose" for it. Shipping weight is around 18lbs shipped
-Dan
hey all,
got this the other day, decided that it's not really for me. $300 shipped in the USA for the camera onle, int'l pays for shipping on top of $300. shipping for either is via UPS(UPS ground in USA).$450 shipped(in USA) for the camera and lens/lensboard.
both sold as-is.
see video for...
controlling saturation is generally in the exposure(in camera) step. Overexposing color neg films generally 1/3 to-1 full stop can increase saturation, in MOST(not all) cases.
where as the reverse generally happens with E-6 films, underexposing increases "saturation".

bruce,
NO WAY!!!! I'm definitely not getting out of darkroom work, I'm just consolidating my un-used equipment. Since I use the facilities at a local photo center for printing(contact printing mostly now), I can use their equipment. Most of this stuff is duplicates of others I have, hence...
