Kick the contrast up on all 3 of these and they will be super! Acually they are super just as they are! But kick it up a notch and see how you like them. Logan

Excellent answers! Thank you both. Getting the right solvent may be tricky but surely worth a try. Shoe polish is far easier to obtain, I'll bet! Never thought of that. Logan

    Restoring an Old Folder

I have just acquired an old (1930's) Voigtlander Bessa 6x9 Folder that needs a little ehlp. The leather on the body is very dried out. Do any of you know of anything that can be used on the leather to restore its sheen and luster? Olive oil, lanolin? What? Also the lens, a 10.5 cm f 3.5...

    Voigtlander Bessa III 667

Well, perhaps the "basic camera" aspect and roll film are what many of us find needed and so attractive! The winder, by the way is not dodgy, whatever that may mean. Fixed lenses might even make one stop and think and study before the shutter was pushed. Digital guys just snap of 5 or 6 hundred...

    Voigtlander Bessa III 667

The First Two Rolls The Negs look fine, but negs done in diafine always look good. One Trix and One Rollei Super Pan 200. The Tri X @800 and the Superpan @ 200. The Superpan did not tell me about the clever stick on tape at roll end and I dutifully licked the tape and stuck it in my vest pocket...

    Voigtlander Bessa III 667

After a long day of shooting I am a bit puzzled as to why they didn't figure out how to make the light metering system compensate for filters? Doesn't seem to me that it would be that hard. I use a #22 filter on B&W film and set the camera for +2 exposure stop on the comp dial and shot away...

Bessa III Got my Bessa III today. Loaded film; hung it right round my neck and snapped off a few pictures and more tomorrow. Does everything it says it will. A mighty fine camera. Like it!

what Zeiss lenses would you keep?

These guys are all right. Sell the Porsche first; then the Rolls and then what ever else you've got. But keep these lenses. they are a planned gift from Heaven and a message is attached. These are your tools with which you can conquer new worlds. You will need them. Replacing them and you will...

    Delta3200 (120) -- *bleah*

I agree with some of the suggestions above.... develop it in Ilford's DDX. It is pretty expensive, but is the real developer of choice for Delta 3200 @ 3200. Diafine IMHO is a non- starter for 3200. Logan

The grain! The grain! that's what's missing from digital. It's lovely beyond description. And a great shot, too. How did you get Royal Pan. I thought, because I used it; Kodak discontinued it. The usual Kodak algorithm. Logan

merits of a hasselblad SWC vs P67II

Here's what.... take it out with a couple of rolls of TriX, rating them at 800 and do a day of street work with the 903... a filter, orange if you like or yellow, and develop the film in Diafine.... all your doubts and fears will be erased and your love for the Hassy will never, ever again...

    Nikon F4 opinions?

A lfie long Canon shooter, I just tried a Nikon F4s with the 24-120 AF lens. I don't know why Nikon made any other bodies after the F4s. It has everything one would ever want and an EX from KEH is a pittance. Be sure it has an MB-21 battery pack. Some fool instructions tell you to put 4 AA's in...
