ic-racer, thank you very much.
No recomposing? The leica meter area is pretty small, 18% I think, so if I dont have any zones 1 to 5 in the meter area would I not then recompose or am I missing something simple?
Again, thank you.
Good day.
When it's said to expose for the shadows, is this specifically for the blacks or middle gray please? Then recompose?
I use a leica M6.
Thank you much.
Jerold, then I'm glad I'm using grant monies, private grant monies to go. That being said I do think photography study under a financial aid package would be ok, but that's a thread for another time and another place, not here. What Jim Balog is doing in the Antartic right now is a prime example.
P.S. And I have a good feeling that the Pell Grants are going to get a big boost this year so everyone should keep an eye out. Again, it's a great way to be social and be active not to mention just learning from everyone else.
That's great that they actually made the dark-room bigger. I'm getting the slight feeling that Film is becoming, almost a "fad" now. And jp, yup, the co-ed's a always pretty nice to share class with but sometimes I feel like a dirty old man and I'm not doing, thinking or even saying anything. In...
John, that is so well put. My history professor digs that I'm there because I act like I'm a sponge. Always in the discussion. But the young students just kind of sit there. He told me a lot of professors have given up. But, it's great for me because he gives me everything I won't.
There are...
I'm sorry to hear that Jeff.
Here's another option. Most community colleges offer a weekend class that is NON-credited. That is that anyone in the community can attend. Now the interesting part here is that you may be able to contact them and see if they would like you to teach a class. I was...
Just food for thought, that's all.
Community Colleges still teach film photography with Darkrooms for both developing and printing.
Maybe you will be able to benefit and qualify for Financial Aid.
I worked every day of my life and because of a kick butt illness found myself ill. I'm 48...

Hi there, I did take a peek and search and I can't really get a solid feeling for this.
Has anyone used the glass from betterscanning.com on their scanner? I'm not sure it matters but I'm using a Epson V500.
I'd just like to see if I can get them a bit Flatter.
Thanks so much.
So, I'm simply curious as to your craft, you are using a harsh light to show the masc. details and I'm left wanting to know the projects intent. Is it just a personal project? Also, I never thought about using the Kodak Metalic paper for portraits of any kind. How are you finding it? In any...
Well James, that's just great. Huge kudos for you. So, where is Frenchtown? Central? South?
Im in Freehold?
Good luck, I'm really glad to see this.

Looks like Jared, my 12 year old son, can indeed join us. I'm so excited. I'll make our resv. next wed when SSD check is in.
Thanks so much for doing this. We will be there early on the 15th coming home on the 17th. Driving from Central NJ.
Tom
Hi there.
I'm using the Ilford Rapid and keep my dilutation the same always.
Do I always keep my times of fixing (and stopping) the same even after developing different films on different days.
Thanks tons.
Great, I love to study others work but it's just fun looking at pictures and reading as well. I can learn from everyone here.
It would be nice to have a bookmark folder with all apug photographers and the professionals that you admire.
Yes it is, thank you, but still does not give an indication of where they (Scott) went. It's strange as they are a partner with this site.
Thanks Mihai.
Tom
Thank you Murray.
I was speaking about the PodCast radio show, it's an interview show that touts and interviews all film photographers, mfrs etc...
(Can be found on the web or Apple iTunes store)
Their last show was in Jan and then nothing.....
Thank you again.
Tom
I love this show!!!
Anyone know what happended to it?
Also, has anyone ever seen the Massive Dev chart on a iPhone app. Silly I know but just checking. I know some peeps that could maybe develop one if the owner wanted it, it would be a simple relational database....
Thanks tons.
Tom
You want dust? You can't handle the dust!!!!
I've gotten very similar looks from using LR presets and Focal Point software, a PS plugin. But now I shoot film and don't do that for personal creative reasons.
Good day.
Would someone please share a source(s) where I can look up/learn about different serial numbers for different compondents please?
Thank you for you help.

Don't you love a and I? They've gotten a bit too expensive for me so I've had to stop and they were beginning to take too long but their service has been excellent.
I'm done with the thread as well.
Can't you see, I gave a disclaimer as to where I was coming from, I did not write a word on your opnions, I only wrote on my own, and not one person responded to support their position, it was focused on me, not the issue, because I had another view point. How...
