    Correct. MTF curves describe the focus and distortion attributes of a lens, not the quality of the subject matter.

    "The other thing with leaving them in that long is they can corrode to the cylinder head." Would not be a performance enhancer.

    Very wide lenses take care to use. Novices like to "take it all in", but that wears thin. Having one close or closer object dominating is a common usage for very wide lenses.

    This changing room mentioned in several post above have a wire structure that compresses flat and is popped up when using to provide a large non collapsing volume to work in. Much like the one in post #23 but with the arm sleeves coming in from opposite sides.

    I have used the Nikon NIKKOR f/2.8D AF 20mm to 35mm for years. Yes, I do not often need the 20mm very often, but when I want to it is there.

    Decades of snapshots and lousy snapshots paid for Kodak, Ansco, et al, to do film research & development and to build manufacturing facilities. Keep those snapshots coming while I continue to take photographs.

    The problems with MTF curves is Most manufactures do not provide them. When the MTF curves are provided, there is not standard and curves from different sources cannot be directly compared. Only Hasselblad provided MTF curves for all its lenses, but again they could not be directly compared to...

    They were probably also replacing the ignition wires which over time deteriorate. It is a complete system, not just spark plugs.

    All spark plugs are metric. When Henry Ford wanted a durable well working spark plug the only source that was strong enough and consistent enough was Bosch and the metric thread became standard in the US.

    I make large sections for large lenses and short sections for short lenses. I have never had a problem figuring out which lens to put where.
