Hello gang, I'm Ralphieboy from Rabbit Hash, Kentucky. At 69 years old I'm returning to film after about 40 years off.
In my college years I worked my way through school in a studio setting doing high school class pictures, portraits, weddings, personal portfolios for aspiring actresses and actors. I even taught a photographic lab class in a community college, and somewhere along the way I got contracted for post and greeting cards.
I've shot with RB-76's, Pentax 6x7's C-330's and a bunch of different 35's.
At some point in life I just put my gear away and eventually got rid of it all. I didn't shoot another roll of film until about 3 months ago.
I purchased a Canon F-1N and a Mamiya 645 Pro TL, both with various lenses from 28-210mm. The widest lens I have for the 645 is a 45mm.
Why these two cameras? Easy, good cameras and lenses at reasonable prices. Todays market is nutz!
Man have things changed! Film choices are interesting to say the least. Processing is much different as well with the digital scanning and the like.
I'm looking forward to gathering new information from the members here, and rest assured, I have many questions!
Thanks gang for taking this 'old guy' under your wings!
