I used them250mm CF lens with an off brand 2X extender for a while. I decided to upgrade to a 500mm C lens and then a 2XE. I am glad that I did. If you will use the 350mm lens, then by all means go ahead and get it. the 350mm lens is more maneuverable than the 500mm lens.
I have been using XTOL for over a decade and never had a sudden death or any other problem. Anyone knowing what they are doing developing film will always test a developer before using it to develop film especially if the developer has not been used for a long time. Therefore, I always test...
I tried a lot of methods, but the one that I found worked the best:
Meter at box speed and without the sky in the light meter's field of view, this works for slides and prints, both black & white and color.
If more shadow details are wanted either use a spot meter and the Zone System metering...
I change film backs all the time. That is one of Hasselblads best features. I also change lenses. I always thought that Rolleiflex owners looked silly walking down the street with three cameras around their necks.
I would rather Kodak work on making XTOL than a lousy bowl of soup. Not that is a term that I really had. Especially when there are good English words around starting with "developer".
It will take a lot of work and perseverance to get the community darkroom reopened and more work to keep it going. I wish you the best in getting that done.
That is what I used, but ending up using what I saw through the upper lens to estimate the depth of field, know that it would be larger than what I was seeing.
