Put the wide angle lens hood, open the camera back, set to lens to the largest aperture, set the shutter to 'B', open the back, fire the shutter and hold it open. Then look through the back of the lens and search the corners for vingetting.

It is better to find out before you mailed/shipped exposed or unexposed film than after.

That happens to me with Nikon AF SLRs too. They just know. Maybe because their lives depend on sensing and reaction to dangers. We do have eye that are lined up in parallel and that marks us as carnivores.

There are standard light sources and standard calibration processes. That does not include a unique ISO standard K value. Some light meters, CDS, were more blue sensitive than non CDS meters, hence no specific K value.

With film one can only use filters to change the response: blue filter with white flash bulbs for daylight film and orange filters for tungsten film in daylight. Now with digital cameras have the capability to set to White Balance to: Sunny Bright, Daylight, Cloudy, ... and alter the response...

I have had very good results with XTOL and replenished XTOL which is very forgiving. Now one may have to use XTOL copycats based on you local supply.

Then it could be the tank reels. I had that problem on 135 and 120 reels which adjust to both sizes.

There is a problem with the shutter shaft and servicing is needed. That happens when a lens gets used enough.

I either use bounce flash or a plastic diffuser that came with my flash. Either of those will cut the unwanted harshness from the closest people without impacting the exposure as I use the flash's sensor for exposure control.
