Welcome to Photrio! from southern California. Boring blue skies 350 days a year.
I use this for my Hasselblad 903 SWC. Feel free to ask questions. The only bad questions are the ones that do not get asked.
As a long time Hasselblad owner it is sad to see that the owners of the company, not the Hasselblad family any longer, are doing everything they can to abandon the camera owners in hopes that the camera owners will come to them as customers. The Hasselblad 907 100C had approximately four times...
I use a five minute pre wash with the Jobo processor which sheds a lot of the pink dye for both C41 and black & white processing. For the final wash I use eight 500ml rinses for 30 seconds each. That leaves no pink on the film.
I would like a vanilla donut with hard chocolate frosting please. I prefer the Minolta or my Pentax Digital Spotmeter with the 1 degree FOV, thank you.
TEST:
Do your best straight grade print
Take the same negative and do your best split grade print
Which do you like the best
Repeat step 1 with a different negative
POP ==> the photograph as more pop!, the contrast is higher.
Often the split grade printing is enough. I could not get that with single grade printing. It allows me to work on the contrast for the high contrast parts separate from the sky contrast.
Instead, inhale, hold your breath, slowly squeeze the shutter release, then exhale. It sounds silly but remember to breathe, just like in swimming, skiing, snowboarding and ice skating. [The alternative is not so good. Relaxing is important for the enjoyment of photography.]
I have never needed a water pump either. The water flow will take care of that. Also one can use Hypo Clearing Agent to reduce the washing time and saving water.
I happen to use the high contrast Magenta first and then the low contrast Yellow second, followed with dodging and burning for each filter if and as needed. The order of the color filters does not matter. I get more POP sooner and with less time spend than I ever did with using a single grade...
I have had very good service with the Nikon 28mm to 200mm AF zoom lens and the Tamron 28mm to 300mm AF zoom lens. Perhaps KEH.com in the US can re-collimate the lens for you. They did it for my Hasselblad C 500mm lens, so they have the lab equipment which most places do not seem to have any...
I have a Kostiner which something that sounds to be the same generic type washer. The water has a bottom drain and can overflow the excess water. I have it placed in the bathtub and it works well.
Welcome to Photrio
I agree one has to slowly fire the shutter of a TLR not push it down. 1/[lens focal length] is the typical longest shutter speed most can use. With the Hasselblad I use the 45 degree prism which is pressed against the forehead for three point stability with the hands.
Do not use very wide angle lenses for portraits of people that you like. Especially do not have a face near the edge of a very wide angle lens' field of view.
What I learned so far:
Leica has the highest resolution: 80megapixels
Sony is the next in line with a lot of options and features
Canon and Nikon seem to be about equal. I chose Nikon to have access to the collection of Nikon F lenses from AI-S to AF-D lenses. But this gets to religious...
The Hasselblad SWC and the Minolta MC f/2.8 21mm lens [my first wide angle lens I bought in the early 1970s] while very useful, are not going to be as useful as lenses in the "normal" range. So I found that I had to just walk around and look for opportunities to use them well. Once I learned...
First of all to minimize the convergent lines, check the bubble level and keep it as close to level as you can.
Second, instead of getting as wide a photograph as you can, place one [or two] large objects close to the camera and let the rest fall where it may for striking compositions.
Look...
