I am glad that you found the negatives. Now to continue your quest for the darkroom equipment which will show up in the last place that you look for them. Best of luck with that.
Now that all [almost all?] filter manufacturers have stopped making black & white contrast filters and have cut back on most of the rest of the filters, the only place I can consistently find filters, especially the large or small ones is filterfind.net. If you have trouble there, email him...
I was told two days ago by one of Samy's repairman that because he had not put a glass cover on his new Sony's screen yet, that he had accidentally scratched that camera's screen. He wished that he had not previously installed the protection screen.
I used glass marbles to displace the air in a large bottle and eventually discovered that the marbles make the bottle too heavy to conveniently use. I switched away from marbles, but I have not found a use for the marbles. I still have the marbles because I do not want others to say that I...
Welcome to Photrio!
The Tamron 150mm to 600mm AF VC lens is compatible with the Nikon AF lenses and auto focuses but with its Tamron 2X it will not focus automatically. I confirmed that with Tamron that the 2X extender will not auto focus with ANY Nikon AF film cameras, but are completely...
Would you please show us a photograph of the shade and perhaps some design details. With slr, one can most of the time see the flare before the photograph has been taken, with range finder cameras, it can be harder to detect the flare and compensate. Every idea has its own pros and cons.
The life killer for all developers is exposure to air and oxidation. Accordion bottles eventually, usually sooner than later leak. I use 1 liter StopLossBags™ from www.StopLossBags.com and with them I have keep developers and replenished developers working for years. These bags allow one to...
If you do not have film in the WideLux fire then cock the lens 100 to 300 times to move the lubricant around. Also part way cock the lens and move it back and forth many times before finishing the cocking. Best of luck finding service in the EU. It will be good to learn about who and where in...
I have seen lots of bad mouthing of f/22 and f/32 for 35mm and medium format lenses on the usual internet suspects, but I have never really seen it myself on the Hasselblad lenses.
The generally best performance for 35mm lenses is around f/5.6 - f/8, medium format is around f/8 - f/11 and 4"x5" is around f/11 - f/16. In small apertures diffraction starts to dominate. Polarizers in the right situations can bring a lot to landscape photography but are not good for the...
Mojave Greens are supposed to be the most venomous snake in North America. Its venom kills the tissue that it comes in contact with and leaves a void in the tissue when it heals.
I use PhotoFlo mixed as directed, not pouring a splash in the water, hang in a shower to dry and use a paper towel to draw off any liquid excess at each bottom corner and never wipe or touch the film. I leave it over night to dry. If the dried film is curled, run the shower to build up steam...
On more than one occasion I have seen Mojave Greens in the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve. Whether they are very young or large and quite mature, they give plenty of warning with their rattles, since they really would not rather deal with us. However even though I have warned people not to go...
I voted for mechanic cameras, 35mm cameras, medium format cameras, large format cameras, , flash units and lenses.
I should have added: other cameras [WideLux]
The mold growth on lenses can be stopped by placing the lens in bright sunlight for a number of days. Perhaps that could work for the camera bodies. Since I live in a dry climate, I have not had to clean mold from lenses or bodies myself so I am reluctant to recommend cleaning method which I...
I always used the light trap. I never has scratched film problems nor light leak problems. I enjoyed bulk loading film for many years. I also loaded the 100' rolls in a large changing bag in a dark room, not a darkroom, for safety.
