Yes. But what i would say it's the following -- if you want a reliable camera, you design it reliable, and this can be done with or without electronics.
Some of the most dependable medium format cameras, that have proven their worth for decades, are electronic: Mamiya RZ67, Pentax 6x7, Bronica EC, Bronica SQ series, ETR series, Pentax 645 series, Mamiya 7... the list goes on and on.
LOL
But how about DHL, FedEx? Are their offices still operating in Kyiv?
With postal mail, I read that what they do is that they transport the courier to Poland and then Polish post transports by air to the rest of the world, is that right?
A huge advantage! I've bought from them. Shipping (to my country, outside the US) is more expensive than other US sellers, but their item prices are very reasonable.
Leonid, back on topic: I have seen many interesting stuff (cameras) being sold from Kyiv for years on eBay. I wonder, now, with the current situtaion (ukraine under attack), what are the chances for these items to be shipped reliably to the american continent? Are DHL or FedEx offices operating...
Kiev-15 is one of the cameras I want to own. At the very least, because of the fan shutter. And I suspect the lenses are better built than the same lenses on M42 mount.
This is amazing info!! Thanks!!!

What I didn't expect, was the Kiev-88/Salyut cameras having such good reliablity numbers!
Note: D135 is "mirror retaining plate", as is D136
On the "improved" version of the camera (see below), this part is "modified to an elastic type fitted with cushions":
Now, which is this "improved" version of the camera? From what I see, it's still the 6x7 non-MLU model. It's the very...
Most likely, some cam in the mechanism, not visible from within the mirror box.
Hey, thank you very much, the foam i've installed made a slight improvement in vibrations, it seems.
I just added a bumper on the swing arm, inspired by your comment @itsdoable
You can see it here, it's the small foam bumper on the pic.
I'm not sure if there should be one there, though.
