I found Lomography film in a store.

I feel a strong compulsion to start a new thread: "Help me pick: black or chrome lomo" Come to think of it, if I were to purchase this $50 object just to bring to APUG gatherings, I would definitely need to name it Laika. In honor of the brave little space dog, of course. And you can bet your...

    Group purchase: Kodak Plus-X 70mm x 500ft bulk rolls

I'm not aware of one for the 645 AFD, you'd probably have to cut down to 220 for that to make sense. But there must be a 70mm back for the 500cm.

I understand this point of view. But I am more offended by expensive old cameras in velvet boxes that may as well be worn around the neck on a gold chain.

    Group purchase: Kodak Plus-X 70mm x 500ft bulk rolls

Thanks Marc! Sure you don't want two?? ;) I have gotten terrific results from my 5" aerial film. I'll just point that 70mm backs are rather plentiful on ebay now. The Mamiya one is especially nice, it features a vacuum plate that is activated by a hand bulb.

    Group purchase: Kodak Plus-X 70mm x 500ft bulk rolls

According to a conversation I just had with someone at B&H, the film I describe is available on special order from Kodak. 18 roll minimum order, as I described.

Not sure why freestyle or some of the other shops don't offer Wegee or Ansel outfits, as much as some people seem to want to be them...

Well you can feed 135 through almost any MF rollfilm camera, that's easy. I posted a how-to a long time ago and showed some results. You just split a 120 spool in two, clip some plastic away, and put the two ends onto a 135 can. For the mamiya 6MF and 7/7ii there are adapters you can buy.

Black and White film with tones more silver than grey.

True, but it does have a way of getting new things started.

I can also provide snips of 70mm, but what I have is 2005 vintage portra.

There used to be some panorama throwaways that were actually decent. Might be possible to respool one of those and even upgrade the lens. If you're scanning anyway then just stitch.

    Group purchase: Kodak Plus-X 70mm x 500ft bulk rolls

I'd like to coordinate a bulk purchase of plus-x in the form of 70mm x 500 ft rolls. This is aerecon material on an estar base. The minimum order is 18 rolls at $720 each, so obviously I'd like to divide this order between several colleagues here on APUG. It'll get too complicated if we...

I found Lomography film in a store.

I see absolutely nothing beneficial about slamming any film company's products or market. There are plenty of film-associated products that I don't care for...and plenty of gear that is way overpriced for what it delivers. So what. There is no obligation to buy.
