I disagree with this strongly as well.
Almost every schools darkroom I've been in has several of these and they get used, daily, believe me.
They are tough and get the job done.
Invest the money now and get a good Logan and the only thing you'll ever need going forward is razors.
If...
Thanks....
I'm going to use my old speed graphic for fun now, she has a 135mm lens which I think may be a bit wide for portraits??
I can't really afford at this time anything fancy.
Any advice please?
THANKS
I get the back Matte mounting Tissue roughly square and simply use a tack Iron in the Center to have the Tissue, which is the "glue" not move. Then off to the cutting table, or a Matte cutter can be used also, after I trim my photo as I wish, and Square, and again, with the tissue still center...
Got a couple boxes of a french labled sheet film entitled
"Bergger Film Panchro ISO 200"
N Emulsion: 7317
Been in the freezer since birth and now in mine.
Thanks
Tom
Sorry, a bit off topic but do you think that they will ever make "Polaroid Roll Film" again, i.e., Type 40.
I have a 150 Land that I'd love to use someday. Even looks good on the shelf.
Thx
Google "Coupon for Michaels" and you'll always find a 40 pct off coupon and then get the best Logan you can find there.
I have the Interminate + and it's just fine.
Having a off ratio matte to image is generally normal. Also, never center your image, always leave more room at the bottom of the...
It's tough. The very best thing I can advise is get a good blog list going in your RSS reader. There are quite a number of analog photographers that blog and share.
The closest I find is Rangefinder and it's free.
Yes, it's coming around again. I think two things are driving it, one, photographers are finding digital to be just too digital. A raw digital file is, IMO, nasty, but there are so many people running actions on them they look worse. It's becoming easy to date a picture, guess what action or...
Guys, I'm not sure what your seeing but when I go to the main page (above link) and click on my state, here is what comes up. These are not foreclosures and this is not a service. I've never had to pay and the "sellers" like it because it gets the word out for them...
Hi Barry, don't get it. Of course I'm a knuckle-head.
If you subscribe to the list you will be emailed about once a week of all the estate sales in your area.
Tom
Thought you guys and gals would like this. We all know of or hear of awesome finds at estate sales.
Here is a list subscription that is not the managed estate sales where the mgt company puts silly prices on old things, this is a list that will email you on private estate sales by John Doe at...
Thank you Rudeofus, I'd like to mention this is an awesome bath kit for Fuji film. My first bath is between 6:30 and 6:45 and I'm more then happy with the results each and every time.
Again, thank you for your help. I'm almost ready. One thing that thru me for a small loop is that the instruction booklet that you attached states to place the negs back into the used developer which of course is hard for the jobo processor, or it states to use as an alt. to use a alkaline after...
Wishing them such luck with this.
What do you think it will mean for us U.S. customers? i.e., with stores like B&H import?
Perhaps it's time for Scott Shepard to do a show on Analog Radio about this?
Even tho' I can't make the 17th, thank you for doing this.
I am very interested in making fine art nudes in the future if you do this again.
Very best and good luck.
Tom
Get a tupperware for your final wash/photo-flo and put your film in their directly from the jobo reel. cover and swish around.
I sometimes put my entire jobo (black) reel in there and wash, in a recent JOBO quarterly they stated it would in fact take years for the build up.
outwest, thank you so much, I completely understand the mixing of the EDTA for a 1% solution but get a bit confused when you write "1:2:100 solution"
Thanks for your help.
