Mine was shipped today--supposed to arrive on 10/29

Overseas? Most of my past rounds have gone to Europe somewhere and have taken 2-3 weeks to arrive (sent from the greater Seattle, WA region).

Ken

I sent mine on the 11th and its still not received... I'm afraid it is lost.

No, it has not. My family put it in a stack of bills and other letters and did not tell me about it. I just stumbled upon it. Sorry about making you worry so much!

It is a very beautiful print of Grand Tetons! I love the threatening look of clouds in the sky. Your unique method of toning gives the print very unusual look. The slight yellow-pinkish tones split with just hint of blue in shadows. I've never seen anything like that. When I used blue toner, it gave a very bright blue tones. Not in your print. Do you use a very diluted blue toner? Fantastic print, I love it! Thank you very much!

Eugene.

Bravo Anikin!

I received Friday your portrait of a Korean Royal guard-not-to-be-messed-with. A truly impressive size, I can't imagine your creating this in what you're calling a "small" darkroom. Bully! I think it's grand.

I'm now in the Sent-and-Received group.

Reed

Thank you Bob for your update. We are progressing quite nicely!

Thank you Reed for your kind words. My darkroom is rather small. It is a space in our garage between the front bumper of my car and the shelves attached to the wall. When I'm printing anything bigger than 11x14, I end up with a bit less than 1ftx3ft walking area between the enlarger table and the table holding JOBO. I can only move sideways in there  The hood of the car serves as a temporary shelf for unexposed paper.

I did not upload my photo to the gallery because I'm afraid it's inappropriate to this site. I used the best print holder I could find to take a snap of the print. The photo was taken before it was trimmed to size.

I just come back from the post office where I left my print.

Too, I received Mike (mjs) nice picture last week.

Take care.

I'm sleeping in the mailbox now in full anticipation of the mailman with the BPX print sent to me by an yet unknown APUG member  and to pass the time I bought myself a bottle of Redbreast Irish Whiskey (pot still 12 years old) and a large, beautiful book today about Edward Steichen's work:

Edward Steichen: Lives in Photography, by Todd Brandow & William A. Ewing, hardcover. It's large, thick and has beautiful reproductions (338 pages, 250 large images). It was new from $100 for $35.

I want to learn more about "Pictorialism" and the works from that time. Intriguing period & photographers. I recently also got me this book:

TruthBeauty: Pictorialism and the Photograph as Art, 1845 - 1945 - by Alison Nordstrom (recommended reading)

Mine was sent this past weekend. Apology note for lateness was enclosed.

I've received my print (a couple of days ago), 'Natural Graffiti/Leaf Will' . A wonderful shot, it somewhat reminds me of my current work, insofar as it looks downward (camera pointed toward the ground), and i've been doing a lot of that.

Nicolas, John, Kevin and Marco,

Thank you very much for your updates. We are having great progress!

Received an absolutely lovely print from Kevin today. I'm very grateful that he's overcome his recent string of illnesses and felt well enough to make this gorgeous print for me. Thanks, Kevin!

Mike

I received a striking lith print from Andrej yesterday. I guess I'm going to have to buy some Moersch Easylith for the Lith Print exchange. Thank you, Andrej

You're a lucky person: I've seen several of his lith prints and they are excelent. I really love his work (check his website).
This weekend I'm taking a carbon print course and I'm going to try to make a carbon print of one of his lith prints. Andrej was so good to allow me to use one of his negatives.

I would be very interested in what you learn for doing carbon printing. I saw a carbon print show at my university (40+ years ago) and they were stunning. Reproductions of carbon prints do them no justice. I just don't think I've got the talent.

I made my first two prints today. The first from the straight negative is very good. The second one of the lith print seems a bit dark, but it may be ok when dry in the morning. At least I can send a decent print to Andrej as a thank you.

I hope to make four more prints tomorrow. I' ll post it in a separate thread in a week (because OT here?) explaining what I did and show some results.
Bert

Bob, I'm glad the print arrived safely and that you like it.
Bert, thanks for your kind words... I am very interested to see the results of your workshop!

Officially Printing tomorrow! Sorry for the delay all.
I am back up and running however.

I certainly hope at some point I get a critique, I know the person I sent to has gotten really busy, perhaps if he isn't able to send out his print to HIS receiver, he could forward mine

Just to keep updated, mine is printed, mounted, matted, wrapped, and documented. I just need to seal the box, address it, and get it to the nice post office lady. Maybe this time I won't again be the last one back to the barn...

Ken

Thank you Mike and Bob for your updates! Two more added to the DONE category and it is now officially the biggest!

John and Ken, it's good to hear of your progress, can't wait to add you to the DONE category as well.
