Nature and peace are my shelter and companions. That is why I go into nature daily, and seek to resolve any issues that are causing a lack of peace...such as Big Pills.

I hope you are aware of who Rob Tyner was before you posted that. I assume you are. I can also assure you he was a peaceful man, but let no one mess with him.

Loving peace does not mean bending down when confronted.

Meaning you can be peaceable about it, no one "owes" you more of an answer than they want to give you. It looks like you're trying to pick an argument. It's clear you have a difference of opinion.

While I don't always agree with Ralph's attitude, he has stated a couple times on this thread that what works for you is great with him. I haven't read anything that makes me think he is trying to change your opinion or say you're wrong.

He has something that works for him, and you have something that works for you.

It doesn't hurt to be civil on these forums.

I just want a straight discussion. Not some arrogant and meandering path of avoidance. I want someone to explain a pretty heavy statement (about certain tones having no pictorial value) with something other than "It's my definition; yours may vary." If anything, I am asking Ralph, "Do you really want to say it that way?" for his benefit as much as any of ours.

Sorry, but not after your remarks in post #49! Calling the other person 'wrong' and 'arrogant' or tell them that their definitions 'stink' is not a good start for a healthy dialog. It makes me think that you're not really interested in an exchange of ideas and too far away from excepting different opinions.

I have to believe that if we were all having a beer together and discussing such things that differences of opinion and misunderstandings and the like would quickly be reconciled. Forum communication is partly to blame. If I can't see you while listening to you, how do I really know how to take what is being said?

Well, if anyones interested. I did shot a few sheets at 320 and developed them for 12 mins. as my testing suggested. I had great shadow detail and the highlights printed beautifully with a #3 illford filter. They also looked good with the #2 1/2 filter, but the #3 gave just a bit more snap the the overall images. So now that I've gone through this I'm sure kodak will discontinue this film in the 5x7 format.

Well, all will take is a reducing back and holders to get to 4x5.

I have a 4x5 back and do shot with it, But I prefer the 5x7.
