A nice black Minolta 7sII arrived today. It needs a good cleaning and new seals, but apart from that looks to be in good condition. Having previously used the 7s, I'm amazed at how small this thing is. It's tiny!

Kodak Retina IIIc $20..

It was being sold for parts since the seller said it was dead. I had it working in 15 minutes.

Pulled the top plate and replaced the cocking rack with one from my parts box..

So all you people who don't know how to work on a camera, keep it up so I can get them cheap...

Yea thats a pretty banging' deal there.

I know! I was so excited to get it for such a steal! I'm out shooting with it right now, I am already in love with the concept of a rangefinder. The patch is so easy to use after you get the idea. The Bessa also operates very smoothly and feels great in my hand. Something about the advance lever makes me feel warm inside!

Picked up a Kodak Bantam Special (Compur) in a nice leather case a couple of days ago. Very nice condition and everything works. I never collect cameras just to put on a shelf but this one is a first for me since the camera uses 828 film. I had no idea this camera was worth anything until I showed it to a friend of mine (Mark O'Brien) on my way home. A little good luck never hurts. It's a beautiful little camera.

Leica IIIA with a Summar 50/2, and a Canon L2 with a 50/1.2. I got both for $410.

I picked up another Kodak Retina IIa today. The 50mm f/2 S-K lens is top quality..

I have a Canonet GIII I use a lot. I also picked up an older (and heftier) Canon QL 17 a pretty amazing camera. I like the fast shutter priority operation of these cameras. Lastly, on a lark I picked up a Bell and Howell/Canon Canonet 19 that has a meter that requires no batteries and a copal shutter. I haven't had a chance to shoot with that one.

I've been wanting an interchangeable-lens rangefinder for some time, so for Christmas I ordered a Fed 2d from Ukraine. Photos of it show that the body is in good shape, with no dents or dings and very little wear to the black paint. The I-26m looks a little worn and tinkered-with, but I'm planning on getting other lenses to use with it. It should be here in a couple of weeks--if the creeks don't rise.

Steinheil Munchen Culminar 135/4.5 in LTM
The focus ring was loose and the glass isn't exactly pristine, but all in all it works just great. More likely to get used on my NEX5 than my Bessa R.

After quite some time of lust, I managed to win a Canon P with a Canon 50mm f1.8 on evilbay for a good price. So stoked for it to get here, I can't wait to put some film through it!

A Yashica Lynx 14 and a Yashica Electro 35 CCN. Both still to arrive, hope they are in the good shape the sellers described

My IIIA and Summar arrived today in working condition. Shutter curtains are light tight, and speeds look accurate. The lens has cleaning marks, but no scratches or chips. The Canon L2 and 50/1.2 should arrive tomorrow, hopefully they are just as good.

On a side note, I picked up a Contax II a few months ago with a torn shutter curtain ribbon. I sent it off to Oleg (FSU guy) in Russia for an $88 CLA. The camera returned today, looking good and working properly, turnaround time was about 5 weeks. Adding the repairs and shipping cost to the $50 I paid for the camera, it was not a bad deal.

The L2 arrived today, it was junk. But the Canon 50/1.2 was in sweet condition. I already have one of these lenses on one of my M4's, so I put this one on my '48 FED-Zorki. The lens is heavier than the camera, and blocks the viewfinder somewhat....

Ah, time for a few moments in the confessional booth at the APUG Church of the RF.

Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned. . . .
Yes, I know, Father, but this is different from the past. Well, the recent past, at least. Most of those were SLR cameras. This time I did it with rangefinder cameras. . . .
Well, Father, there was an Estate Sale, and you know how we are told to support the widows and orphans, so I took pity on a few of the older RF cameras that were there, and, when it was all over, I came home with two argus (argii?) C3, two argus C4, a Kiev-3A (but they told me it was a Kiev-5), and, "a few other things." . . .
Uh, well, Father, if we finish here fairly quickly, I can hurry over to the Church of the SLR, and reveal my most recent sins in that realm also. Or, I guess that can be put off until next Saturday. . . .
Yes, Father, I will do my penance. Thank you for the discussion, Father, and I see that now it is too late to make it to the Church of the SLR. Thanks, Father. See you next week.

A pretty neat canon 7. I am loving this camera coupled with a collapsible industar that's pretty good too. Can't wait to develop my test rolls. I love my olympus OM, but I have a feeling this canon 7 will take over given some time.
