fotopom: No no, don't say such things! We need to perpetuate the believe that bottom loaders are hard to deal with so the cameras continue dropping in price.

Bought a Hi-matic as well, the 7s model. A bit dirty (cleaning took enough alcohol to intoxicate even a russian), but otherwise in good condition. Clean lens, bright viewfinder, working shutter and and clean aperture blades, that's what matters.

Found at a yard sale this morning, this Voigtlander Vitessa L is working fine including
the meter and all shutter speeds. It has a clean Ultron f/2 lens and beautiful
cosmetics.

It was in a bag with 5 Kenko filters and lens hood and camera case, all for 20 bucks. :D

That's a beautiful camera and a great deal. The Ultron is an excellent lens.

Dang! Do I have permission to hate you? While I truly don't need any additional cameras, the Vitessa is a gem and you got a really great deal and I am intensely jealous.

Bought a M2 + CV 35/1,7 ----> this kit will be a gift to my wife at Christmas.

Traded for a version 2 pre-asph summilux M3-goggled which I love because it looks so cool and, more importantly, it close focuses to ,65m.

Well, I'm probably setting myself up for a pie in the face or something because my rangefinder that I just purchased today is nowhere near the kind of stuff that most of you are using. Nevertheless it is my first serious RF purchase and I'm pretty excited. I bought a silver Fuji Klasse with the 38/2.6 lens. I put a roll of Superia Premium 400 in it and I'll be shooting a Christmas party tonight! Should be fun.

Yeah, that's too automated. I think that this is the Japan-only version of the Rollei AFM 35, which is really a very nice camera. I have the Rollei, and I really like it a lot. It's very compact, and the camera's autoexposure system has been very accurate.

I think it has a nice group of features, including the ability to manually set aperture or distance.

My one wish for the camera would be the ability to set the flash off by default.

Well, I don't know if I am suffering any sort of syndrome or not, but my current collection includes 4 large format lenses, 21 medium format lenses, 31 alpha mount lenses, 8 or 9 M42 lenses, and about 20 bodies... Actually, buying a rangefinder that doesn't have exchangeable lenses actually sort of a new direction for me. There isn't much else I can buy for this kit!

Just today my darling wife picked up a Minolta Hi-Matic E at an estate auction for me. I've wanted one of these (or a 7sII) for some time now. This one has film in it -- kinda curious to see what it's got!

Also a Hi-Matic 11 but I like the E better and will likely flog the 11 shortly.

Too many purchases lately. I have been adding more to my rangefinder camera collection. Last week I got a black Canon QL-17, a black Olympus SP, and today I got a nice Canon P. Other purchases were a Voigtlander Nokton 50/1.1, and on Friday I pulled the trigger on a 50/1.4 Summilux.

I am bidding on half a dozen cameras on the big auction site, and there are 5 cameras somewhere in the mail on their way to me...
