Nikon FA by a mile and I only got rid of it because the eyesight necessitated a move to autofocus
Same here...A couple weeks ago I traded-off my FA for an AUTOFOCUS Nikon 24-120mm AF-D lens (to use on my F4s), as I can't see well-enough with my 55 year-old eyes anymore to focus manually, in most cases. In-fact, I'm looking to trade my (beloved) Nikon F3HP, MD4, SB-16A, etc., for a Nikon F100 & MB15...

Nikon S-2 with Voigtlander 21mm and original Nikon 50mm 1.4 plus other original Nikon lenses... far and away the best ever!

My Leica M4-P with Nokton 40mm f/1.4, All mechanical.

I would say my favorite is my ugly old Pentax SP1000. I have been really rough with it, yet it keeps going - scrambling boulders, sliding down gullies, hiking in the desert, etc... Doesn't hurt that I picked up a box full of Super Takumar primes for next to nothing too.

This discussion has given me GAS. Several of you mentioned the F3 and I got to thinking: "Hey, I don't have one of THOSE yet". I went out and bought one today, and it is really a nice camera. Thanks guys.

Do me a favor, stop telling us how nice the Leica is.

I liked my Nikon F3HP so much that I got me a 2nd one...I just wish it was autofocus, like my F4s.

...And about that Leica...Yup, I want one of those, too...Very nice!

Mine is an HP too. Lovely machine.

You realize that as soon as you acknowledge that you want a Leica, you start down the slippery slope of ownership? There's no help for you now. You can't take it back.

A good Photografer is someone you give a Coke bottle to and he takes a great picture.

I think the one I have enjoyed the most recently is my Canon EF ( no not the auto focus lenses )http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canon_EF_camera,
they are quite highly prized by Canon FD enthusiasts who call them the "Black Beauty", and although I have several FD bodys this is the smoothest of them all.

I have just dusted off my Minolta XD11 and an SR1, neither have seen action for a long time. To be honest I was/am thinking of selling my old manual focus kit, but after holding them again .... I just can't decide whether to keep or sell them

I used to be indecisive now I'm just not sure

My favourites were the XD11 & SR1, with minolta/rokkor lenses. But I do really live my Minolta 800si with the VC700 grip.

Don't sell the XD-11! I took mine with me to the U.S. Nationals a couple of weeks ago and got excellent pictures with it. The more I use that camera the more I'm amazed at how much Minolta packed into such a small, elegant package. The more I use Minolta cameras period, the more I'm impressed by them.

This weekend it is the F5. I have it with me at work and will use all weekend.

Pentax Spotmatic. Only camera that I ever had real affection for; the rest have all been tools......

Leica M6 Panda

Leicaflex SL, no question, for the incomparable viewfinder, silky-smooth and indestructible shutter, and the amazing lenses. If I had never used the Leicaflex a Nikon F2 with E screen would be my favorite. However the camera I use most is the Leica R8 with the (off-topic) DMR digital back.

Leica IIIa with a Summar, simple but shoots so easily.
I can even load it now!

Om2n. Years ago I sold a whole closet full of M2 gear to collectors and bought 2 Oly bodies, 4 lenses and assorted gizmos. Never regretted it. And the guys in the rabidly Leica local club didn't catch on until I told them. Gotta admit I have a soft spot for the F3HP, which is nothing like the Oly, but it did good when I lost the Oly's in a divorce.

I agree that this is like choosing your favorite child, but of all my cameras, the Nikon F100 is my favorite. I can use it with MF lenses, the metering is awesome, and it's very reliable, it can bracket, do up to 9 hour exposures with an accessory cable release, and the controls are wonderfully ergonomic. Runners up are the Leica M3 and Nikkormat FT3, but they just aren't as fast or feature-rich.

The M3 has always been my favorite camera. It's beautiful to look at and hold, and has/does everything I want.

Nikon F5. And lately I've been using a 75-150mm f3.5 series E manual focus in aperture priority with slide film. The results are very sharp.

Nikon F100. With the Nikkor AF-D lens, the auto focus drive is amazingly additive!
