No, this nickel has not been offered for sale before. However, good to know that the going price for Nickels these days is around $0.15-$0.20

That's only in mint condition. I'd say yours has held its original value, though.

I've found five pennies are more versatile, but with an increase in weight and bulk, and they're more to keep track of. Interesting how a dime is more efficient regarding weight and space than than even a single nickel.
