This week I purchased a pre-owned Hasselblad 503cx outfit. Why did I wait so long... It's beautiful.
I'm afraid my wife will see me cuddling with it, so i hid all the sledgehammers...

Back in July I bought a vintage 1942 Leica IIIc, with 5cm Elmar. It sits on my nightstand while I sleep. My wife named it "Debbie."

I love my Bronica and the pictures it produces, but I guess the trade-off wasn't only price, but cuddlyness too. I have yet to use the words "Bronica" and "beautiful" in a sentence!

If I left it on the nightstand....it might be gone in the morning.

I love it soooo much along with my other Medium Format cameras I created a website for it.... http://gregheath.com

Just having a bit of fun..

I only have 2 photos up right now, but I will be out shooting tomorrow.
I used the website for practice for developing a website for a friend. Rapidweaver for the Mac is awesome.

Greg, you just have to convince your wife that the relationship is purely platonic. One tip: never refer to it as "My Scandinavian beauty".

You now have an insatiable mistress who constantly wants expensive "accessories" and has a desire to "go out" all the time. Guard your credit card.

Just tell the wife that no one wants those old bulky film cameras so you only had to pay $20 at a garage sale. :whistling:

Take some family photographs with the Blad. Women love pictures of their kids or grandkids. This will convert your wife.

After you convert your wife, tell her you need more lenses for the camera so you can take even better pictures.

I´ve found cast iron frying pans can be very useful when smashing things is on the menu, or at least my wife has. Now I buy cameras that look reasonably alike so that she can´t tell how many I have. I have the Kowa Super 66, once called the poor man´s Hassy, could be I could sneak in a 500 series under the radar.

Congratulations by the way

I just tell my wife, "That's what happens when I put two of these in a dark corner together. It's nature!"

Nah, she doesn't believe me either.

Trust me. Women (if they are not into photography) can't tell one camera from another, even if it's a different format.

Kowa's are fine cameras. Hasselblads are better and of course much more expensive especially when you start buying the Zeiss lenses.

Shooting either camera you will end up taking the same photographs.

Spend your money on film. That's always the best way to go!

I'm not trying to piss off women here. The same deal goes for men. If my wife buys new make-up, I can't tell it from the old. If she told me her new shoes were 5 years old, I wouldn't know the difference.
